No way would I list with an agent who makes a vid called " 6 reasons to never live in TN". Why is your title so hateful ? This sounds like a hit piece on Tennessee. Chattanooga roads and driving is a disaster, and it's frustrating that TDOT will NOT resolve any of this. The " connecters " are disastrous bottlenecks and have been for over 40 years.

Regarding the animal attack statistics, Florida has three times the population of Tennessee, which if those numbers are true means that you have a far greater chance of dying to an animal attack in Tennessee than in Florida. The Florida animal attack numbers are higher only because Florida has so many more people.

Chattanooga Tennessee is growing fast, all the open space is being filled with houses, apartments and new building. It is losing some of that small town charm, plus the crime rate is a little higher, other than that, I love it. Also, it is not for people with allergies or breathing problems. There are a lot of pollens here.

Everytime there is a good place to live the cockroaches flock there and ruin it.

I'd personally avoid all big cities in TN, they become way too overpopulated and the crime is out of control

Only reason this guy is doing this is for his financial gain. I’m a Native Knoxvillian and it is awful now because of people like him ! Yes, public transportation sucks ! The government here refuses to build bike lanes and repair the sidewalks. The only thing that gets attention is its the color orange !

Visiting that area next year in april. Looking for an area to keep horses. What area around chattanooga (max 20min) should we look at with good schools and able to keep horses?

Please stop coming to Tennessee. Been here my whole life and now I can't buy a house because everyone came here and bought it all up. I hate everyone that is not a southerner. We will get our revenge.

I lived in Nashville 2002-2016. I loved it! However it grew too much, became too expensive, and now I think Chattanooga is a better place to live.

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

I enjoy living in Cleveland. I was born and raised in Chattanooga. Spent my 1st 24 years in Chattanooga and the last 26 years in Cleveland. To me, I’ve enjoyed my time in Cleveland much better than my time in Chattanooga.

Southern culture has indeed evolved. If you're in search of Southern charm, it's wise to rent before purchasing, as the area is transforming, potentially losing its cultural essence. It may have been a better place to live two decades ago, but the full vision might not be realized yet, appearing somewhat disorganized currently. Red Bank offered a less chaotic experience, a cool and relaxed atmosphere where one could cross the street without the fear of being hit, unlike many others. The Chattanooga area can resemble a real-life version of Crossy Roads or Frogger. High-visibility clothing is recommended for pedestrians, and vigilance is crucial when biking or walking, as locals may not recognize the importance of these safety measures. Moreover, despite the belief that Mountain Dew and bologna are healthy, it's best to be cautious with such choices. Ultimately, the cost of living is lower, but often, you get what you pay for.

Wouldn’t want live in city because of gangs shootings all the time. Home invasions and Chattanooga has the worst public schools Graffiti everywhere in city. Homeless and migrants. The mountains homes are affordable for the rich people. People aren’t as friendly as other parts of state. Traffic is a nightmare. What do you expect with democrats in charge. Move somewhere else and not Tennessee. Don’t want your liberal views here.

I have lived here my whole life, and we welcome new people. The one thing that is my hope that if you are moving here from a “blue state” leave those blue state politics there. We are conservative and do not want what you maybe leaving brought here. My other rant, fix the freaking roads!

So there is a project to spoil your beautiful landscape with three highrises ? By the way: Chattanooga looks like Bonn in Germany.

Chattanooga is far too urban for me. Live in a tiny Florida town near the Georgia border about halfway between Jacksonville and Tallahassee.

This place is half way to Huntsville.

I grew up in Florida during the 1970’s. It was much nicer back then and had amazing beaches and forests that have been destroyed by fast food chains, condos, and strip malls. Clearwater beach used to actually have super clear water. Almost as clear as the Keys used to have. The coral reefs are bleached too. There are just way to many people and it’s way hotter than it used to be. We moved to TN and love it.

Lookout and Signal are NOT Chattanooga.

I grew up in Chattanooga. Lived in Hixson, Signal Mountain and Brainerd. Went to McCallie, then Red Bank and then finally Hixson high school (smoking cigarettes got me expelled lol). I left in 1990 when I turned 18 and moved to Florida where I still am. It is too expensive in Florida now. Chattanooga sucked when I left but now it's a wonderful town

TN has mountains that’s a good barrier for nukes. That’s why I left Florida. Too flat

There are a lot of opportunities here that you can't get in other places. For example, the job unions, but there is a lot of crime here, and the cost of housing and rent is ridiculous.

No idea why TH-cam recommended this to me, but hi from Sand Mountain. Tornados? The most hit place in the world is around Henager Alabama, averaging one a year. It's believed to be because of the angle wind hits the mountain. Every tornado that has hit Chattanooga, touched down their first an made it's way to Chattanooga. So the warning time was around an hour.

It would help if the creator of this video made a distinction between neighborhoods and suburbs. Apison, Ooltewah, Collegedale, Signal Mountain, and Lookout Mountain are all suburbs. In the case of the first three, they are suburbs quite a long way from downtown Chattanooga. Lookout Valley is a neighborhood within the city limits of Chattanooga.

We visited Jasper Highlands a few years back and looked at a couple lots. We were really impressed. However with that being said, what we learned was that we DID NOT want to drive up and down the mountain whenever we wanted to go anywhere. So we passed.

After living on Miami pretty much every where else is better lol I left and now live in Naples FL feels like paradise although the heat in FL is definitely not for everyone unless you want summer all year long.
