Repair of beetle door panel where lower 3 attachment points break. I also show the 'after' with coverlay door panels installed in place of the factory vinyl and new door pulls to repair the broken factory door pulls. If there is enough interest I may sell the kit to repair the lower 3 mounts of the door panel (3 brackets and 12 screws). Cost will likely be $50 per kit which would repair 1 door....

How hard is it to install those overlays? Having the same issue with the back panels anyone have a fix for those
The overlays are simple to install - 5-10 min. There’s a YT video someone else did showing installation - maybe search ‘beetle coverlay’ - here you go th-cam.com/video/oEq_blIkbJs/w-d-xo.html . I haven’t seen any solution for the back seat panels
Hi. I have a 2003 vw convertible with door panels that broke into cheap plastic completely cracked pieces. Please, can you explain how to make those supportive brackets and can I purchase them from you? I had to buy super hard to find new panels (still gotta paint them to match my blue beetle), but want to do whatever I can so I can prevent what's already ended up being a super expensive fix.
I recently sold the beetle and I haven't had enough interest to make these brackets up to this point. I'd guess if you show this video to any machine shop and have the beetle there for them to pull measurements they could whip them out for you. Or if you have any basic tools (hacksaw, drill, pliers, metal file) you can buy some aluminum angle at Home Depot and make them yourself. If I end up having some machined in the future I'll comment back here.

These door panels that VW used on the early model New Beetles are complete garbage. The Coverlay inserts are great. I installed those in my car.
Yep - wish they used better plastics and materials in general - all the plastics suck. It all gets very brittle. It seems like every time my daughters or her friends sneezed something would crack or break.
Do you know where I can find the door panels itself I’m having the same issue I drive a 2008 VW convertible red beetle & can’t find the door panels mine are garbage & completely cracked!
Installation done. Replaced fronts with FOX 2.0. Also did break pads/ rotors/Calipers to Powerstop

I don’t have a lift. Just torsion bar adjustment. Fox 2.0. Front Fox Part 985-02-009. Rear Fox Part 985-24-048

Did you replace the stock shocks with the FOX 2.0? Is your H3 lifted?
I replaced stock with fox 2.0 and its not lifted. Just torsion bar crank
@@macairtuber many thanks. Mine is a totally stock 2008 H3 Base model 3.7L. You’ve motivated me to install the fox myself. I was about ready to pay $175 for the install. But your video helped. I’m gonnna try. Do you have the FOX 2.0 part number, I want to install that same one since I know it will work (based in this video).

I have had 3-4 Keen H2's fail. They replaced one pair, the rest I try to glue back. But they have an issue with shoes that are a couple of years old. My are gently used.
The adhesive process they use is inadequate. They need to at a minimum also stitch the outsole or use a better adhesive. I refuse to buy keens again. I spend a lot of time outdoors and in extreme temps and I’ve never had another shoe fail like this.

you had the shoes for over 7 years... stop bad mouthing a shoe company without giving the whole picture. and they offered you a 50% off coupon.
Still.. I've had walmart shoes for this long and they didn't catastrophically fail like this... they should have sewn this on instead of glew. or use both.
Guess you and I aren't alone when it comes to experiencing shotty quality with these sandals Keen Newport H2 Review. This really is ridiculous.
Today's Keen is trash and their warranty is even worse than trash. I never thought I'd say this but I'd rather go on a hiking trail in a pair of Crocs than a pair of Keens (Crocs cost 1/4 of the price too). What a shameless company. Hopefully others will watch this video, along with this Keen Newport H2 Review , prior to buying these poorly constructed sandals.
