I guess the thermoplastic used here is homopolymer polypropylene and the plastic did not set quickly making it easier to apply multiple layers. I've used polypropylene and it sets really quickly in like about 40 seconds to 1 minute so I've had to move really fast. The ladies were very good at the draping process and I learned how to drape the ankle section which is the most difficult part to pull without creases.
Hey Gordo!! I just discovered Pando tube and it was great to see you are still teaching! It was fun to watch as metal has become one of my specialties. Also, having been the first class to be in the Sunnybrook lab it was cool to see the lab 20 years later! Great to see Carol too, i worked with her at Kintech..

I hate metal bending. Currently working on a KAFO in class. I just gotta keep practicing.
Not to worry, it will become second nature eventually.. Learn to love it because you will be more valuable to future employers!
interesting use of the syringe, almost always placing polypro on polypro causes bubbles that get trapped in between the 2 layers... thats really smart
zack barron , if I wanted to learn how to do this, do you know what terms I should search for? I want to know what plastic to order (type and thickness), how hot to warm it at, how to cut it, etc. you seem like someone who knows! 😊
