I keep watching these videos and im wondering why would you put the grease on first? The grease locks in the moisture and locks out moisture. The gel should go first😊

Has anyone found anything similar to the blue lid xtreme gel? The green lid is awful on my hair but the blue lid was my go-to.

Try to use hair gel and/or curling crème !!! It’ll make it stay,be bouncy, and won’t frizz. Use plenty of oil like you did. Use mousse at first but add the rest too

I use to do this in highschool mainly grease wash and gos but when I used it with that I loved the look always just not the shrinkage 😊

I was cracking up at your reactions bc ik if I tried this, I would be going through the same roller coaster of emotions with the constant "starting over" moments. Never tried this one. But I bought the Coconut and Hibiscus and Flaxseed Defining Gel. I use the Mielle Leave In conditioner. I a twist out with it was nice

If it’s hurting, that’s means it’s too much pressure on the follicles. Eventually your hair will thin out 💯 That’s why so many are having problems with their edges. You shouldn’t have to take pain medicine to do a hairstyle. It’s never that serious. I can do a sleek bun and got type 4 hair and don’t have to do all that. But you got majority of the look you were looking for so 👏🏼

Yeah the styling tools do brush out the curls. The ones that finger detangle keep the definition the whole wash day but I need to get all my shedded hair out so I use a styling tool and my hair isn’t tangly or I’m not styling all day

lol dont use a leave in thats what doesnt mix with the gel , use shea moisture curling cream , then apply the styling gel , it will not flake or crunch

Had the same issue it flakes over uncle funkys too. I used the curl enhancing smoothie under it and it was shiny and bouncy. I tried hard to use more water and less product than I’d normally use!

Keep testing and doing your thing, it is helpful to others so much 👌

I am loving the texture..🤗💖 Seeing so many popping up with similar/same texture as my hair is just everything.. You mentioned that if the product combo on your hair lasted 2-3days that was great.. Made me curious if you've found a combo to where your hair can last you more days without refreshing..?? Mine now lasts me 5-7days.. I usually wash my hair a couple times a week, but I mean 😅 there's been times I've had to go the whole same set and I'm not a puff girl at all.. Was also curious how you dried your hair (defuser, bonnet dryer, hooded dryer)..?? The set, aside from the flaking, looks amazing.. As much as I loved the Curly Curl cream I had to let it go because no matter what the flakes would show up.. Super excited to stay tuned in..

I love that TH-cam continues to show me curls like my own.. Subbing just off that alone.. 🤗 Have you ever used this sort of botanical gel as a base gel instead of a leave in and then top it with a firmer hold gel..?? Or adding your base gel while still in the shower direct after rinsing out conditioner..?? That has become my go to regimen and has saved me time by keeping my wash and go in tact from 1 wash day to the next.. I wash every 4-5days.. So a couple times a week.. But get to literally shake and go the days between washes.. And my wash, style, and dry takes me about 1.5hrs tops..
