Regarding Special Visual Effects, they were great for 1976. The Holograms, in particular, were cutting edge. I was about 8 years old then. About a year later, the original Star Wars film hit the Big Screen. If u were there, u probably remember what a cultural sensation that was.

Both Marvel and DC have said in the past "We'll fix it in post" or "The CGI isn't done". And we've all seen how that turns out. (Black Panther, The Flash). This isn't going to look better in a trailer. It's padded and puffy and hides Corenswets muscles that he worked to build up. It also looks like it came from Party City. There is a lot of copium being used right now. The suit sucks. Looks bad. As does Clarks wig/hairpiece.

Four sequels? I'm aware of the horrible "A Christmas Story 2", the pretty okay "My Summer Story" and this new one you just reviewed, but what's the fourth one?

I'm a lukewarm viewer of "A Christmas Story," since I was trying to figure out if this was a Pre- or Post-World War II story. I haven't gone out of my way to see "A Christmas Story Christmas" because I don't remember who was what in the original vs. the "adult version." The movies I watch during the holiday season/Winter run the gamut from "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (1965) to "Die Hard" (1988) to "It's A Wonderful Life" (1946). It was cute but it was never going to be a classic like the first one. What really made the original hilarious was his narration as an adult describing his thought processes as a child.

I thought the Scut Farkus scene was the best part of the movie.

Did it have Michael Hayes and The Freebirds? What about The Great Kabuki? Those were their main rivals back then..,

Ron Pearlman really does own this role. I loved all the practical effects and puppet work in this film. They hold up even today! Great review 👍

I think they should have set it in about 2045 but these day's it may fell more real because of all the stuff on ufo documentary like area 51 the pentagon jump room myth, the montock project and so on. Stargate was in current day because they used Cyann mountain complex and played around with what they may have recovered and reverse engineered and its nice to dream so that being said i suppose 2022 isn't that bad of an idea especially when they are going backwards from now so like Time Tunnel stuff in other words it's exceptable. 👍
