Thank you. Your video reminded me of all the things that I need to do to get ready for Thanksgiving. I had better get started.

I always clean out my fridge and freezer a week before.

My family would spend Thanksgiving in the desert, so some things had to be done 2 weeks or more ahead. We would buy a 10 or 12 pound turkey and use it as the ice for other meats for the week. By the time we had eaten the rest of the meat, the turkey was defrosted. Many dishes were made from a box (mashed potatoes, gravy in a can, and stove top stuffing). The dessert might be a cobbler (apple, peach, etc). I would also buy another turkey for the freezer to make a repeat dinner in January or February after the holidays when the dollars were tight. There's the meal, the leftovers, sandwiches, and soup from the turkey carcass, which was about a week or more from start to finish. My husband made a great turkey spread from parts of the turkey that was deeelici 9:56 ous with pureed onions. It's amazing what you can eat from this holi 9:56 day meal. I even make a cranberry cake with a white cake mix, a can of cranberry sauce, and your favorite white frosting. Nice video and thanks for remembering the day of things for which we are thankful.

Great ideas! Adding the sticky notes to your serving dishes is great when a guest is asking what they can help with. It's also helpful because you're not making those decisions while you're trying to get everything on the table at once. For a number of years now, I make mashed potatoes, squash and gravy a day or two ahead and warm them in crockpots the day of. This year I'm going to cook and carve my turkey a day ahead and then reheat the sliced turkey in broth in the oven. I hope it works well because carving the turkey at mealtime makes a huge mess. This will also give me time to cook the turkey bones for broth.

Very good tips and I love that you made us feel “okay” using paper goods. So many people think you have to break out fine china, silver etc. I don’t have those things and I always feel cheap if I use paper goods. So thank you!!

Lol! Heidi, I can't believe how much alike we are! I always do a grocery list, try to organize by aisle and always do a weekly menu! I also organize my groceries on my counters like that. And, I have that exact vacuum - and love it! Nice "a day in the life" video. Definitely whatbreal life is like! ❤️❤️

I had a dyson cordless and it was ok. I also have all hard floors with area rugs. It does fill up fast and the battery dies...usually at a critical time, lol! I now have a shark lift away like you do and i really like it. I dont love a chord...but it does allow me to finish the job without the vacuum dying!

It was fun hanging out with brother Billy! Definitely a down to earth guy! I see he loves the spicy food. I just have one sister. She's older and also bossy.😂 I bought a shirt for her that says, "I'm the bossy sister." 😂 She loves it! If I brought her on my channel she'd probably try to hog the camera. But maybe she'd suddenly turn shy. Who knows. It'd be interesting to see. Your brother is a natural. Very relaxed on camera. Thanks for sharing. The pumpkin pasta does look fun. ❤😊 My closest TJ is an hour- and not in the best area of town. So I rarely get there. Sophie wanted to be on camera. She quit whining when you showed her. 😁💕

This was a really fun video! I am also the youngest of 3 with two older brothers. My oldest is 10 years older and the middle is 4 years older. My middle brother passed away, but I guarantee he would be a TH-cam star if he were alive, Lol. It's funny how we had a special respect for our older siblings back in the day....they were our boss, Lol. My husband is an only child so he has trouble grasping that concept. I am also intimidated by the outside grill.That's Jason's territory. I love the idea of those fall leaf chips! So cute! Thanks for sharing your haul and including us in your conversation.

Great video and those pumpkin oatmeal bars look amazing. I've been on a "nothing sweet" fast since August 18th (my birthday) and seeing yummy treats like these makes it so hard, Lol. Next weekend is my granddaughter's birthday and I plan on having a cupcake to celebrate her and my ability to have gone this long without sweets. I have an enormous sweet tooth.
