Personally I don't feel that loneliness bc to me minecraft was never a multiplayer game, I only played with a friend once and maybe 3 times with my brother, and I never actually tried to join any servers. What I feel most is guilt bc as you've mentioned I play for escapism I guess (everything I do is escapism but not gonna ramble about that lol), like sure maybe I think about sharing my experiences (and I think once I finish this temple I'm building I'm gonna post it somewhere just to try something new), but I don't feel this loneliness that seems to plague you. But tbf in general I am kinda of a lonely person, so I think I'm just really really used to sitting with myself and not sharing anything with anyone, so if that feeling ever creeps up is not gonna really impact me, I'm lonely whether I'm playing minecraft or not y'know? what difference does it make. So idk if my opinion is very valid or like 'unbiased', maybe look for the input of a more put together human lol There's also the possibility that people who play singleplayer are actively seeking more 'alone time' and chose minecraft for it so the loneliness would be the point. I do think that those videos going all "Minecraft is x" say more about the people who made em than the game itself, like it's a sandbox and you're meant to make something out of it, and whatever you do end up making is always gonna be a reflection of yourself, even if you don't make anything out of it, it still says something about you and how you're feeling. Idk what is it about minecraft but blocky game makes monkey brain go brrr
