Me too! I admit fully that part of the joy of having a craft room/space and the stuff we have is that we get to move it around and reorganize a few times a year. It almost as good as a short vacation for me 👍🏻💕

Also, don’t remember if I already asked but where did you get your tearing ruler? I can never find one that I’m completely happy with😕

lol! I totally get you! I wouldn’t watch it either at 5 hours. The hardest part w all of this is the editing. I had about 3 hours worth of filming including the video that went all wonky. I wanted to really capture the process bc I always get asked to show a longer process and explain the how and why. Which I’m glad to do. So, the trick is to edit down 3 hours into one hour or less. The big question, what to keep and what to toss out. It takes me about three hours to truly edit it down to a one hour video bc you have to watch, edit then go back and edit down more. To edit these videos into less than 20 minutes like some people do is an insane talent lol! Thank you! I’ll make a wee pamphlet if it kills me lol! Winter snowy journaling in full force starting tomorrow! Chilly AND chilling for sure! Hugs 💕

HURRAH! It sounds like you have a great plan for your journal, and you should go with whatever feels right for you! I totally get that, when we find ourselves journaling like someone else. Ive done that many times. I think that is a great jumping off point, to try and find a new style or way of trying new things but just like you said, if it isn't for YOU, it feels off. I think in part we are in a bit of a hurry bc we want to create, we want to see finished pages and get onto the next thing. We do it someone else's way so that it speeds up the process for us and we don't have to go thru that part of figuring everything out....or god forbid, hating what we glued together and then feeling bad for "wasting time". Copying can really hurry things along but it feels empty. Working thru the process is never a waste of time but our inner critic gives us a hard time and then we feel silly or unaccomplished. Ive been there for sure! I can't tell you how great it feels to know that I was able to help nudge you into a place where fell into your own groove that felt comfortable, exciting and you were having fun. That is truly my only real wish for the videos that I make. I want every one to find what works best for them and that it feels rewarding and a real reflection of what is going on with them at the time. Keep working in the book and honour the process that is emerging because from the sounds of it, something really is emerging and it is exciting for you! Go with it and see where it takes you. I don;t know what I didn't do this sooner!! The trick for me was to really consider how much room I needed for notes and how much writing I would do. This planner is really about lists and quick ideas rather than the journaling I do in the other journals. Soooooo, because I am not entirely sure how this will all work out, I am going to have to make the pages, use it for a bit and then assess what kind of writing room I want. At the beginning I was more keen on the collage itself then thinking about space for lists. Now, so far so good. I am able to write what I want without feeling like I don't have enough space. But, like I mentioned in the video, I think Ill be using more postcards and allowing bigger spaces for writing (as a rule) going forward in this notebook. But, let's be honest, if my mood that day is to collage, Im going to do that ;) Nothing wrong w digitals!!! I LOVE using digitals. Use what lights you up! No, I think these fist pages will be for January ( today is the 22nd already) and February. That is my plan. Hugs!! Oh- please email me when your video is up, so I don't miss it!!

Happy New Year! I totally hear you! We all get caught up in that cycle, but it is liberating to switch things up, start fresh and have fun with what we already have. Totally!!! I am not going to set myself up for failure but saying I won't buy anything then absolutely fall in love with a rubber stamp and then feel bad for "needing" it. I always say it is the addiction to the potential that is the most seductive part of paper crafts. What could be is intoxicating! I am with you. I would save them too bc why get rid of things you aren't sure about, only to need them and then it costs MORE money to go out and have to buy them again. If you think about, buying hanging onto the things you aren't ready to part with, you are being very economical! ;) Get rid of what you truly no longer want, save the rest, we think about it again a few months. YES!!! Do it! I also have a couple other ways of writing short daily musings but I like the idea of using these papers, thoughts and intentions to create something else. My word for 2025 is alchemy. I'm fascinated by the idea of taking two things, that consist of both my energy and something I have made with my hands and turning those two things into something else. That is why I thought gluing the papers onto "ugly" scrapbook paper was a fun idea bc the papers with the musings will be a platform or backdrop for something else. A bit out there I know, LOL! but it is one way that I can take my thoughts from this year and use them for something going forward. Im not sure that makes sense. It's a bit woo woo! I tend to do that ;)

Oh jeeze! That is a WHOLE other video LOL! That takes all kinds of discipline and an even bigger reward system for the efforts that is required to do that. Perhaps some new scrapbook paper for clearing off a shelf or two in the freezer...just sayin', hard work deserves a nice pay check! LOL!

YES! There is strength in numbers :) By seasons, that sounds like fun!! AND! a great way to be organized and focused, cuz that is always an issue LOL! and of course not easily distracted by all the other things. I love it. I think it will because if you are tempted to dig into the box of pastel while you are working with autumn it should cut down on having too many options. Keep me posted bc I think it will help with the problem a lot of us have, which is having things, on a shelf and then forgetting we have them. Out of sight out of mind. But, if you work with specific seasons, what is out of sight should be out of mind. You are on to something! Thanks for watching :)

Bwhahahahahahaha! OMG! You kill me! if it was a swear jar, it would be full in a week bc I swear like a f*&%ing truck driver. I really have to hold back in the videos and not drop a ton of f-bombs ;) Besides, I don't have enough money for a swear jar, Id be broke ;) This week I am going to do a few searches and see if filing is something that lights up our brains. I am super curious! Bc, the moment I can file, I feel much less chaotic. Ill let you know for sure. As long as the challenge is fun and it feels like something that can help with the creative process, I think we are much more motivated to keep at it. RIGHT!? That us the point! Btw~ thank you for my hair compliment. I was growing it out the last couple of months bc I thought I wanted a cute Bob with bangs. But I couldn’t take growing it out and having to wash it and do it a few times a week….im lazy lol! I went to have a nice short cut last week. Oh the things I think I wanted lol!

You have expressed my fears ;) I know, the space is not infinite and it isn't like I am not going to buy anything again. Ill see how I manage over the coming weeks and if I get frustrated with it, Ill donate the stuff that isn't resonating w me anymore. The good news is that most of what is in here came from the Goodwill and I didn't spend that much money on it. We buy bc we need some new inspiration and that newness helps to fire up our creative process. Nothing wrong with that. At the end of the day, i want this whole process to be fun and not feel heavy or weird or have any guilt. Hugs xo

@ I shop my stash. I hadn’t seen some of my stuff for years. As I’m sorting and cleaning I have found so many beautiful things that I own that I forgot about. Right now I’m going through my paper and taking out the ones I don’t like. I will be using them for collage master boards and gelli printing. One thing that helped me not buy more is the thought that there will always be stuff to buy. If you don’t go to a sale there will always be more sales. I have supplies that are in other rooms because they don’t fit in my craft room and I’m lucky to have a very large craft room. Not buying gets easier over time. For me buying stuff became like a high It was crazy!

Oh, what a great message, thank you!!! Your story is amazing and I feel a kinship with you for sure! 💖 I always felt that once I set things up a certain way, it was written in stone. I spent all that time making things go a certain way, that it would be silly to not stick with it. BUT! I think we know very quickly if something isn't going to work. I am trying to get past all the shouldas that I inflict upon myself. Just keep trying is my new motto :) Secondly, life is better is with cats! Thirdly, bears are essential no matter what age. I too have another bear on my bear who brings comfort in ways I cannot fully explain, so I get you. And I say, whatever works, do that. I am excited for journaling and organizing in 2025! That is interesting! I didn't think any part of Australia got that cold. I am going to google Alice Springs so I know where it is. Rain here now and that snow is all gone. BUT! more snow this weekend they say. I am a weather junkie LOL!
