Camping on Nimblewill Road
มุมมอง 8714 วันที่ผ่านมา
This time, we head back into the mountains of Northern Georgia for a one-night camping trip with the family. We set out to explore and camp along Nimblewill Road. Not everything goes to plan on this trip; from crashing my drone and loosing out on some footage, dropping my other cameras, getting sick and sitting an entire day of trail riding out and loosing out on more footage, to even letting B...
Exploring 3 Trails in Northern Georgia
มุมมอง 12321 วันที่ผ่านมา
Recently, we set off for a day trip to Northern GA to explore 3 great off roading trails: Willis Knob, Earl's Ford Road, and Sarah's Creek. While these trails are rated as "Moderate", they are perfect for those wanting to get their feet wet (figuratively and literally) into off road trails. The majority of the trails are gravel roads/forest service roads, with one or two obstacles mixed in. - W...
Vevor Diesel Heater: After Action Review
มุมมอง 1.8Kหลายเดือนก่อน
We took the Vevor 8KW Diesel Heater out into the GA mountains over the weekend with temps getting down to 17°. We look at our setups and how well (or not) they performed out on the trail. Then, we come back home to sit down and talk about some of the key takeaways from the experience. 00:00 Intro 00:12 Big Country’s setup 03:32 Tim’s setup 05:34 Adjustment to Tim’s setup 06:36 Beginning of AAR ...
Vevor Diesel Heater Initial Thoughts
มุมมอง 859หลายเดือนก่อน
Big Country looks at a couple of key features of the @vevor.official 8KW Vevor Diesel Heater and talks us through why he choose this one. We plan to put it through it's paces in a week as we travel to Northern GA to camp out in below 30 degree weather. We'll report back on how it does! 2024 Pickens Jeep Explosion
มุมมอง 126หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video, Mike and I go and check out the Pickens Jeep Explosion event in the Upstate of South Carolina. This is the 4th year of the event, but our first time participating. We had no idea what to expect as there is not much out there on the internet about this event, so we wanted to try to capture what it is like at the Pickens Jeep Explosion. We joined in on the St. Jude’s Ministry benef...
Thanks for the helpful vid....I've got the AAL Fridge Slide and drawers, and want to add the Overhead shelf as well for my JLU....However, I'm a teeny bit concerned of the two issues you encountered. Have you heard from AAL customer support? As someone with two left thumbs and little mechanical ability, I'm a little reluctant to order now...Quite frankly, I'm surprised that they included those cheapy nuts, as my experience with their other stuff is that their components are of higher quality.....Thanks again for your report.....
@@OcotilloCanyon We haven’t reached out to them yet. Honestly, the bolts just need to be a little longer. Mike picked some longer ones up today. Once I see him, we’ll try them out and we can update on the size that fixes it. The rear screw issue is just a trim screw. It was aggravating for sure, but the reality is that it’s not needed. With just these issues (and the main one being able to be solved), I would highly recommend it. It really does solve a lot of space issues. I’ll try to reach out to them soon to see what feedback they give. Maybe it will help helpful for them for future orders. Thanks!
How many times can you say um In a short video..
Um…that’s fair 😂
Great video! Thanks!
@@gregmckinney4562 Thanks for the feedback!
Just a suggestion burning diesel causes condensation. It will build up in your exhaust pipe. Make sure your exhaust pipe is angled down so the water can flow out.
@@johnhinton8427 excellent point. We actually adjusted Big Country’s right after this video to give it a more downward angle. Good tip and thanks for bringing it up!
@ only reason I mentioned it is mine started gurgling because the pipe was filled with water camp on brother
It looks well built. The shoulders could have been rounded and still handled the weight. Zippers hate salt water.
Big country is like having a senior tagging along with dementia. FLAT LANDER! He gonna get hurt. The music had me on edge with all that duck crossing. The drone footage was excellent. History of how the roads got their names would be a nice commentary deadband filler. I am pretty sure those suspensions can be tighter and still retain the flex. Jolly good show though!!!
@@Thriftybastard 😂 Big Country makes every trip a little bit better. Good idea on the road history. Suspension upgrades are always on the list for future mods!
Lookin’ good guys!!
@@JudithGrimes-t3y Thank you! We enjoy it
Do you have the East/West and North/South load bars?
@@ronnierebhan229 East/West (the standard option). I built the custom rack that is bolted to those bars on top.
I ordered one on Black Friday. Do you recommend a kayak holder that would fit those cross bars? Rhino Rack? Just curious. Wild Top wouldn't recommend one to me...thx
@@ronnierebhan229 Unfortunately, I have not tried any kayak racks myself. I ran into the same issue when contacting WildTop at the beginning of the year when I purchased mine. I tried to find recommendations from them on basket racks and roof top tents. Neither of which could they recommend. So I built my own. They indicated this was something they were working towards (a recommendation list), but it’s evident they haven’t made it there. I feel fairly confident you will have to built something, but by doing so, you should be able to accommodate just about any rack setup you want.
@@ontherun_24 ok thank you! I appreciate the honest feedback. I think the rhino rack rear loading kayak holder will work if i get longer bolts. Ill keep you posted!
@ Please do! I’d love to know if they work
I agree the body line sucks. Im assuming its because of the weight capacity needs to be triangler. Im considering it
@@ronnierebhan229 Makes sense for structure for sure. Load rating was the whole reason I went this route. I’ve had it for about 9 months or so - overall I love it.
What are your thoughts about the windows? Im undecided whether to get windows or not... thanks
@ I actually am now thinking I would have preferred to get the non-window version. A little more peace of mind to not have someone looking into it. Plus CMMOffroad makes a rear view mirror delete that helps gain some space in the cab, thereby helping with the non-window decision. You can’t go wrong either way, but hindsight’s 20/20 and I think I would have chose the non-window.
It looks fairly well built. They could have rounded those shoulders to math the frame and still had the same weight capacity. Those zippers will not do well in salt water.
Now that’s Grade A
Looks great!
Everything about this screams “I have a micro 🍆”
