It flopped because it's a shitty ad for a mobile game that isn't made or sponsored at all by falcom.

Because they're economically poor. Why the hell do you think third world countries still exist despite our technology? Tech doesn't magically solve everything lol. It has to be widely adopted first, and for tech to be widely adopted, the population needs to have a good amount of disposable income on average. Even if orbments are literally magic, they're still made of finite resources like septium and metals. Liberl has a good mining industry and a well-developed engineering sector, which is what made them wealthy and prosperous. Erebonia and Calvard have massive amounts of land and industry. Remiferia has advanced medical science which they sell to other countries. Arteria receives funding from all over due to being the center of the Septian Church. Also the North Ambria region was economically devestated by an artifact turning massive portions of their land and infrastructure into salt. You would know this if you actually paid attention to the games, seriously.

To be honest, all we know of North Ambria is after the Salt Pale Incident 30-ish years before the setting, which basically destroyed the capital of North Ambria and wiped out 1/3 of their population.

@@BaRtt4 They didnt have enough money to make that good, i mean we should give it a chance. Ik some eps are trash like this one with clown but that dont describe all anime. It needs second season to tell a true opinion imo.

@@Kuba_q-bn3xp There's nothing more to tell really. The anime was an ad for a gacha (not even made by falcom) there was never really an attempt to make something special.

It doesn't need more than 1 season. It's meant to show the Northern War between Cold Steel 2 and 3

It's not falcom's idea, the whole anime is just and ad for an upcoming gacha made by another company. You got la epic baited if you thought this was worth watching as a fan of the games

They should have used the budget for this anime on a good quality OP for Kuro I and II that is actual animation rather than in-engine.

@@BaRtt4I would hope that the credits do credit lol The song title is in English. Unfortunately, you have to be watching to see it. The story so far by Akita Chisato. My comment wasn’t intended to be a slight. I’m not sure what falcom style means. Does that mean for example they credit themselves like with capcom sound team? I do appreciate it. You got the intro up a week before crunchy roll. At least just the intro part.

@@alexandermccalla5098 yeah falcom rarely properly credits their composers. And since i'm not really interested in composers and vocalists they got for this anime i didn't even think of crediting in the description. If it was actually a falcom anime with falcom composers that would be a different story.

Practically by the end of CS2, Rean is known as the Ashen Chevalier, a hero who assisted in ending the Civil War (the whole thing that CS2 is based on), he now assists in the military as an officer and would often partake in taking orders from the Imperial Government. This whole thing will happen until the beginning of CS3 and this anime covers the plot of the North Ambrian war that happens between CS2 and CS3.

trails of cold steel is the best entry in all the legend of heroes series and my fav mc is hands down is Rean Schwarzer

@Slimane Azouzi cold steel 1 and 2 were great. 2 especially. But 3 and 4 made everything so cringy that I couldn't even finish 4. This anime looks very promising though.

from what i can remember hearing rean talk a bit about the northern war in cold steel 3 was aurelia focused on taking halisk, and rean and saras (and possibly some bracers) primary focus seemed to be working on the civilian evac
