I would find some silicone swatches to practice on before tackling a doll. Just to find your own technique and learning different painting tricks. It’s not like you can strip it easily like the vinyl babies. I’m excited to see your finished silicone baby!! How exciting!!!

My grandson that I raised from the hospital he had lots of dark spots all over and when he got to his full brown color he still had dark spots all over and he had eczema so he had rough skin. He is 6 now and you think I beat him the way he legs always has dark spots but it only takes a mosquito bite and he will get a dark spots but it from itching it. Anyways I think she is beautiful and no baby has perfect skin.

I’m Re-reborning the twins Iris & Lily that I got on sale from AliExpress for $23 each. They are beautifully painted with painted hair. I’m blown away, this is the nicest painted kit I’ve ever bought from AliExpress. I just opened their nostrils. Getting ready to glue in their magnets to the inside of their mouths. I’m going to add very light veining in the proper places. I do plan on rooting little tufts of hair to their heads. Adding some clear top coat nail polish to the original generic eyes to add realism for the awake kit. Some paper glaze to create wet nostrils/eyes/ears etc. I want to root the eyelashes for both as well and a couple coats of varnish to protect everything. This is my first time doing all of this on one (two) reborns. I’ve never rooted before but have watched tons of TH-cam video tutorials. If these babies turn out decent, the rest of my reborns will probably take off running because they know they’re next 🤣🤣 Absolutely beautiful Seena!! Excellent work! Thank you for sharing and being vulnerable enough to share with us and giving others inspiration and strength/courage to try doing these things ourselves.❤❤
