I am amazed @ HOW LONG, THE "AIR" LAST IN THAT CAN. WTF? THAT WAS CRAZY.. That sold me right there on getting some cans. I miss my 64 FJ-40. It rusted away.... GREAT VIDEO DUDE!!!

Great tutorial and example of technique and capability of the paint. Seems like too much orange peel to cut back, and those cans always spittle out at the worst time adding more orange peel. I did some cabinets this summer, had the same issue, just easier to fix in wood finish. I need to go buy an HVLP gun. The better finish is worth the cleanup and I've done it before, but with old school high pressure guns. Little more cleanup, but definitely a smoother finish. Even if the same bulk Rustoleum paint from the house paint style cans for spray guns is used. I've done it for a couple metal home doors, much better than the rattle can and I didn't buff them out or anything.

Good job…sounds like some of the criticism is from body shop employees. Trying to protect their jobs….

the direct injection of fuel means seafoam (or similar) will not clean parts of the fuel system. The valves and ports will not get cleaned and the stuff in that can gets a chance to attach itself somewhere. What get into the cylinder has already passed everything I don't want it to attach to.....before it gets burned......

Definitely one of the best setups, would you recommend this for loudest/most exotic over kooks headers and other setups? Also would it be even louder than this if it was full catless?

off the shelf paint is definitely better than 20 years ago .. but if you 'ever' want to put actual automotive paint on and actually restore the car, that garbage will create a nightmare of getting it all off.. generally speaking you cant put 'real' paint over it ..

Spray Paint has come a LONG way in the last 10 years. That being said your going to spend less money and have a longer lasting paint job with doing a tractor paint paint job.

Got to be one of the best sounding C8 corvette exhausts I've heard. I like how tamed it is just driving normal and how loud it gets when you get on it. Just how a nice exhaust is supposed to be!

fyi - rattle can FULL cure is when you CANNOT SMELL PAINT any longer, typically 2 weeks. Spray paint is very high in solvents.

Consider getting a fabric tape measure used by seamstress. It provides greater accuracy in measuring arcs/bends/curves on material.

Does it "need" one? There's only one way to find out. Put one on and see if it collects anything over 1000 miles. I had a 2017 Shelby GT350, and it had a catch can for each cylinder bank. One side wouldn't collect anything, the other side would. You can tell how "dirty" an engine is by how much blowby it generates and gets collected in the can. I had a Jeep Gladiator with the Pentastar V6 the same time I had the Shelby, and I tell you what, that Jeep V6 generated a LOT more blowby. It would easily fill a 3 oz catch can in about 3K miles. IMO, an oil catch can is a good thing for ANY car that routes the blowby back into the intake system. I have one on my '23 4Runner, and it works.

I did my 2012 HD RGS front fender that was Denim black with John Deer matte black and its a perfect match. Been running it for 2 years and not one person could tell the difference. HD quoted me $600 to paint the fender, I did it for around $50 in material.

I can't see it really close, but it looks good from here. I have an 06 Scion with clear coat coming off. I've thought about rolling it with Rust-Oleum farm implement paint. The other day at Tractor Supply I saw they have gallons of clear coat too. Then I thought about lightly sanding & rolling on some clear coat. Not looking for a perfect job, just want to improve the looks of the car. Even body shops often don't do perfect jobs either & charge a lot of money.
