Emotions in the Body
As we get back to the basics, we will explore today how emotions manifest in the body and methods of being aware of them. When we can identify what we are feeling, we may have a chance to choose our next actions instead of being controlled by them.

Back to Basics
มุมมอง 49วันที่ผ่านมา
As we kick off the 2025 Live Streams, we return back to the basics and investigate what is mindfulness all about. We discuss its popularity years ago and its hype, but why its helpful to continue practicing now. Present moment awareness is a way to observe how the mind wants to wander and give a brief break to the uncontrolled imagination of the past and future we are often victims of.

Idealism Can Cause Suffering

Impermanence of Mental States
มุมมอง 92 หลายเดือนก่อน
We have recently talked about non-self. One of the main ideas surrounding the idea of non-self is that what we consider me, is something that is not permanent - we are in constant flux, so when we search for something that is me, the "me" that is there is different each time we look for it. Today we talk a bit more about our fluctuating mental state and how we can make peace with it. 00:00 Intr...

The Concept of Non-Self

Last week I talked a little bit about the concept of non-self briefly, so I decided to go into a little more depth about this. These are all interesting concepts, so let's explore some of it together. I'd love to hear what ...

Thank you Ryan. I believe that practising mindfulness as you describe does work. I have been able to become aware of difficult emotions in time to stop and choose a better response to deal with issues. It has frequently saved me from pointless conflicts. I do think I'm fortunate because during practising I don't often have difficult thoughts. My mind tends not be over busy. It took me a while to become aware of my thoughts. I now seem to recognise thoughts more easily.I do practise each day but not for 45 minutes. I try to approach life in a mindful way.I really appreciated your coverage of what isn't mindfulness today. It helped me greatly with my understanding of what mindfulness is. ❤
