Thank you Lilie, Rowen, Nathan, Callie, and Angela for participating in this event last weekend, and for the blessing that you are to the parish and community as young people who are willing to share their gifts with the world. Wishing you well as you head off to college next month! God bless you at this transition!

O Blessed St. Joseph
มุมมอง 3103 ปีที่แล้ว
O blessed St Joseph how great was your worth. The one chosen shadow of God upon earth, The father of Jesus -ah then will you be, Sweet spouse of our Lady, a father to me. For You to the pilgrim are Father and Guide, And Jesus and Mary felt safe by Your side; Ah, Blessed Saint Joseph, how safe I should be, Sweet spouse of our Lady! if You were with me! When the treasures of God were unsheltered ...

Hosea (Ash Wednesday 2021) - St. Joseph Choir

Today marks the beginning of Lent! Last year, we didn't know that a month after our Ash Wednesday services, we would be going virtual and would not be able to sing together for many months. Our choir members miss one another, and we miss singing at mass with the rest of the parish. Let's make this Lent productive as we look forward to the future! Am I the only one puzzled as to how the pages are turning without her doing anything other than playing the piano?
Hi Danny - I have a bluetooth pedal that turns the pages for me when I press it.
@@stjoesappleton6537 neat.

Hi Joe! I plan to upload All The Ends of the Earth relatively soon. I'm going to save Join in the Dance for Easter morning! Sorry it is taking me so long to get to your requests. I intend to finish all of them! The God of All Grace was a great recommendation. -Marisa

I will add these to my list! The God of All Grace is a lovely song that I have never heard - thank you for the recommendation! Organ is getting tuned next week, so it will sound better if I wait for that to get done. -ml
Very comforting for the soul. We need this to get us through the day.
I love your performance, thank you for sharing! Where can I get this score (the title of the book)? TIA!
Hi Yunji. Glad you enjoyed it! This arrangement is from the book Gospel Classics (arranged by Mark Hayes) 12 Artistic Arrangements for Worship Services, Concerts and Recitals. Hope that helps! -Marisa
@@stjoesmusic6433 Thank you so much!
Beautifully done. Please tell us about your pipe organ. From the organist for Central Congregational Church, Madison. OH.
Hi Paulette! Nice to hear from a Midwestern neighbor. We have two organs that can be played separately or together from one console(!). It's a little unusual but a lovely set up. Having 2 swells, 2 greats, the option to couple and mute keyboards, etc. gives us lots of antiphonal options! I can even change which swell pedals control what - whether I want both swells or only 1. Our original organ is over 100 years old, and is back in the choir loft. It's a 3 manual +pedal instrument, and a joy to play. It is a Schaefer instrument, the company was from Slinger WI and is no longer around. Evidently, they rebuilt our instrument from a previous Wisconsin company in 1929. Stoplist and some info about this here: pipeorgandatabase.org/organ/53801 Our second organ was added around 2000-2002 to support the choir when they were moved to the front of the church. It's a smaller 2 manual +pedal instrument. The builder, Holtkamp, is from Ohio! Photos and stoplist here: pipeorgandatabase.org/organ/49593 Their rebuild included redoing our Schaefer console and bringing it to the front of the church. I have been here 1 year, and don't have much more information that that! In this video I was playing both organs at the same time.
Beautiful job
Thank you Theresa!
