WWII Bomber B-17 Sentimental Journey 2024 Hanover County Airport, Virginia
This video documents our flight in the bombardier and navigator seats of the WWII B-17 Sentimental Journey. This took place at the Hanover County Airport, near Ashland,Virginia, in June of 2024. Thanks to fellow passenger Mike Rocchio for the takeoff video, and to my good friend and fellow WWII plane fan, Steve Smith. Appreciate the help, guys!

West Virginia Rt 122 connects Rt 12 and Rt 219, just south of the town of Union. I was travelling east. It's very scenic, with Cook's Mill and Indian Creek covered bridge nearby. This was a surprise for my wife on our 5th wedding anniversary. As you can see on the video, she thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience that day, as my sister, Dad, and myself also flew with Bill in the WWII Stearman biplane. Thanks to Bill and Ashley at Wild Blue Adventure Company in Fayetteville, WV. They made our entire family feel at home the whole day. Even our dog Cupid!

On Oct.15th, 2021, I had a great time at Wild Blue Adventure Co. in Fayetteville, WV. Bill was awesome as he flew his biplane and performed some unforgettable aerobatics. What a ride! Ashley kept everything running smoothly, and was a gracious host, as well. They treated us like family. If you are ever in the New River Gorge Bridge area, you have to check them out. You'll be glad you did!
