Airport Mideast Harescramble Dirtbike Race
That’s a wrap on 1st year trail rider season. Got 7th, felt like I was about to die after like lap 2. I’m either way too out of shape or cardiovascular system is still being affected by this endless sickness. Ate it several times mostly due to fatigue. Type 2 fun…. Kicking my own ass. Lol I had a blast, thanks DJ and our new buddy Andrew.

Super fun track. Started the camera late, oh well. Best finish yet, placed 5th in 1st year trail rider class. Good times with Dj and Zack. Changed front tire from tusk t45 to Dunlap mx34, front end seems to stay down way more. Time to build the confidence back.

Kickass race with the compadres Hayden, Zack, DJ, Gabriel. Thanks to our awesome friends Jaime, Tracy, Danny, and Jaime. Did a lot better with less/no clutch, trying to break the habit now… 4 crashes vs 14 lol. My cornering sucks balls though, got some stuff to work on… fun day! Got 6th in 1st year trailrider. If I was cussing you, I didn’t mean it. It was just hot 🤣

Well, after much training on hard pack and firm mud, I got a reality check after crashing out about 47 times. Felt amazing at the beginning despite a little slow of a start… quickly got hammered and began riding like crap. All okay though, I’ve got it all figured out, lol. I was making a fundamental mistake, trying to coast the corners with the clutch pulled in. Evidentially this lack of force ...

Super fun time out in South Carolina with the boys. It was 105° on the heat index. Super hot, super dusty, super slippery, mega epic! Finished 9th in 1st year trail rider, 131 overall.

First race, felt slow but had a grade 2 ac joint separation the day prior at beta demo day. Wrecked a bunch, but super fun! Sorry for cussing ☝🏼my bad to the younger guy, I may have wrecked you into that tree!! Gopro died near end. 1st year trail rider 25

Thanks dude! Riding more helped me a ton, the more comfortable you are the better. Maybe try tightening your steering stem a bit, might stiffen your steering a tad and take some twitchiness out

Which Yamaha model do you have and would you recommend it for trail riding?
I ride a 2021 yz250f setup for the woods… suspension re-sprung and 18in back wheel. I absolutely love it but you may be better off going with the YZ250FX model and possibly save some money.
