I use a composition notebook journal made in India and it’s fine (on my 10th one now). I add paint and collage on every page and sometimes pockets. I never double up pages. It holds up to everything. The acrylic paint reinforces the paper a bit too.

I absolutely have that same problem where if I'm just casually doodling I can draw all kinds of good art, but when it comes time to translate the doodles to a canvas it's never as good. So sometimes I just enlarge and copy my doodles. That's also why I have loads of art paper that I haven't used for years.

I loved this flip through, thanks for sharing! I also put watercolour on my pages before using them for my journaling. It’s because I love the crinkle too. I thought it was only me! Glad that I found a kindred spirit. I started using composition notebooks for my morning writing and have added some arty elements to it but I mainly keep it for writing.

Loved this flip through. Really gave me some ideas. I journal all the time, but i have separate books for testing art products, making notes from videos, as well as just journaling my day to day activities. I love this book, everything right there together. It's perfect, that way you don't have to keep track of where your ideas are; they're all in the SAME book!
