Brundage is 100% better if your just talking about the skiing. The snow is so much better, tam is only worth it if we have heavy snow fall. The resort is nicer at tam. Because tam faces east it gets icy pretty fast. The runs at brundage are way more fun too.

Boi-see hun, NOT Boi-zee!!

My fav thing about Brundage is that it keeps all the short run beginner to intermediate terrain loving skiers off the real terrain in North Idaho. MCall has become Boi-see Fornia. Boise, not Boize!

Where is Boizee? I am aware of where Boi-see is. And Boise Suburbs? Lol-You definitely a baby Idahoan. My favorite thing about McCall is the newer white F-150 with the huge sticker on the canopy that says no Californians!!

McCall has become a playground for Boisee-Fornians. Yeah, Boise…NOT Boizee. She is correct that throughout the 80’s-2010 timeframe McCall certainly was in a bubble. Not the case now, especially memorial day through labor day. It’s a nightmare. Brundage regularly turns into a parking debacle in the winter and is 99% beginner/ intermediate terrain inbounds. If you like steeps, enjoy the 6 to 8 turns at the top or Northwest Passage cause that’s it!! As a 40+ year Idahoan, thanks for your perspective hun, been there, done that, when it truly was exemplary.

I just moved here from Colorado so a lot of this advice is routine for me but the dark mornings (the sun doesn’t rise until almost 8:30 am! 😱) was a real shock. But it does set after 5 pm vs 4 pm in Colorado. So often wonder why this part of Idaho isn’t on PST. It’s a LOT cloudier/overcast than in Colorado but l love the fact that it snows almost every day. I am looking forward to temperatures getting into the 20’s so it gets dry and fluffy. It’s been in the 30s all this past month (December) and it’s been heavy and wet. Winter is actually pretty quiet compared to Colorado ski towns. I’m loving the vibe here. I get paid to shovel snow so l call it “Job Security.” 😀

I’ve lived in Boise since 1989. My job at the time required I a weekly visit to McCall to visit customers so for several years once a week I would spend the night there, usually at shore lodge. Since then the traffic to and from McCall has increased to such an extent between July and October that I’ve given up even thinking about trying to visit the place. Like the great Yogi Berra once said..”nobody goes there anymore…it’s too crowded.”

Brundage and it isn't even close. Snow at Tammy is completely booty comparably, I'd rather go to Bogus Basin and that's no joke. Sure it's got some good terrain, but overall you could keep it. And what it went tits up twice? That's why your see so many homes available, they were abandoned!!Brundage has it beat by leaps, has been around years, actually very good snow and is built out beautifully. No brainer.. Keep the vids rolling tho,!

Prefer Brundage, it has a higher base elevation and slightly better snow.

Wagon Wheel is a mess!

Spent my summers there in the early 80’s framing houses and condos. The winters were harsh but rolling down Main Street on your Skidoo with a whip flag on the back was the bomb. Cool town, wish Iwould have bought there a long time ago.

This all looks so familar from being here in summer 2024 working at shore lodge. Fun tour.
