Hi! Thanks so much for this very thorough review! Since you have multiple kiddos, did you make copies of the consumables to save it for the other? Or did you just repurchase the consumables when needed?
Loved this
So nice! I just found your channel as I was looking for Memoria press reviews but thanks for showing your home too! Hope all is well!
its not an illness its a stomach big
God bless you guys❤
I'm sure you have been busy with family life! I was scrolling thru my subscribed channels and wondering how your new home and the baby are doing!
That's great
Great video! 😊
Thanks! 😊
Great content, thank you for sharing the shots of the drawers open.
My pleasure!
I hope you are all well. I come to the videos every now and then for insight.
Thank you for your kind words. I am thinking of restarting again after adjusting to the new baby and new home. It's hard to carve out any free time for more inspiration.
Currently a family of 7 with a teen, 2 preteens, and a 5 and 7 year old living in an 1,100 sq ft apartment. Hoping to get into 1630 sq ft soon
That sounds like a lot of people to organize! I hope you are able to manage the logistics of organizing such a big family and get the extra room you desire.
Thanks for sharing. Would like to see baby boxes
I hope you keep making videos! I love the actual minimalism & decluttering in real life. Not just throwing that description on a perfectly renovated & decorated space! I’d love more decluttering content- the maintenance of kids’ rooms/clothes/toys/paper!
Thank you for writing. I do hope to come back to making videos again now that my baby is one. It is really hard to carve out time to do anything creative or inspirational (that anyone but me might find helpful).
I wish you would post again! I love your channel and content.
I'm thinking of restarting again now that my baby is one and I've had time to readjust. It's difficult to find any spare time to find things that might merit another venture into UTube movie making.
@@TheKuesters I would love an update video! I binged your content one day while decluttering my house. I have 5 kids, Catholic, homeschool... it was so nice to see another person living a similar life
Can you please share more about the recitation books and how you come up with or where you find the poems and questions? Thank you!
Hi there. I made the recitation books using the Memoria Press Curriculum Grade Manuals for each child. It was just a matter of knowing what was coming each week and making them ahead of time. I'm in the process of doing this again this summer for the new year.
LORD JESUS IS RISEN! Not dead on a cross...those dead idols do NOTHING
You are not Catholic obviously. People who are Catholic know that Jesus. Has risen and him on the Cross. Is symbolizes that he died for our sins. This is extremely mean and insensitive thing to say. We worship the same God you do. God is the only who passes judgement. You are not him.
@@angelaschaefer5883 No you don't the blood of many saints are the hands of catholics!! Why would you need a "symbol" to remember LORD JESUS and what all He has done...or another a mediator? And actually God tells us to have righteous judgement, and to mark those who go against His doctrine!
This nice homeschooling mom. Doesn’t need our discussion. To overtake her comment section. Obvious that you say a lot of her faith. While you know very little.
@@angelaschaefer5883 Why because I actually had scripture and all you can do is through insults..If it bothers her I'm sure she knows how to hit the delete button..idolatry is wrong period. It is not KIND to let a friend stumble and not try to witness to them God's word! I've actually studied catholic doctrine and history for a long time...but make whatever assumption you want.
I see you stand in judgement of other people’s faith. But the real victim of your bullying tactics is you. Since God will be the one to decide where my soul ends up. Your concern for it is unnecessary.
Would love to hear about your end of the year review of MP pre-k
Have you always been this way ?
Hi Julia! How are you and the new baby doing? I hope everything is well. l have to say that I like your channel very much. It's so inspiring, especially your homeschool mom's routine. I had my 7th child six months ago and i have to say it wasn't easy to adjust but things are getting better every month😅 .I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to write back but I have been very much disconnected from my channel after my 7th child. There seems to be no spare time to think of anything inspirational to share. I hope to reconnect with this channel now that my son is one and I'm planning this coming school year. Kind regards!
It would be fantastic to see you again...Here i'm waiting for a new video! This is my favourite youtube channel.😊
This was so insightful! For someone transitioning over from a Charlotte Mason approach (less emphasis on structured writing/grammar, heavier in literature) would you recommend jumping into his grade in a standard core (I have a rising 5th grader)? Or would it be beneficial to go down a year to get a solid foundation in writing and such? TIA (also Canadian!)
Hi there fellow Canadian! I apologize for not responding many months ago to your question. In my experience, your child doesn't miss anything, and it is easier on both of you, if you begin a grade or two behind what Memoria Press recommends and work up. You want your child to feel successful, not frustrated by the new content. I have even spent two years on the same resource and not followed Memoria Press's schedule when we both needed more time.
This is the best breakdown I have seen about MP! The suggestions and advice you've given has helped me understand why for instance, Play Doh, is important! Such great advice!
Thank you for watching and for the kind words. I am hoping to return to making more videos now that my last baby is one.
Watching you from Sydney Australia. Your lifestyle is a source of encouragement. Thanks for sharing. May GOD Bless you and your family,
Thank you for the kind words. Hello from Canada. Our family watched 'Unsung Hero' twice in the last couple months and I hope to visit Sydney someday. It looks beautiful.
Cute kiddos, beautiful family. I hope that you are all doing well and keeping healthy.
Hi! I'm a new subscriber...It's all so exciting! New home and sweet new little member of the family! 💗☺️
Thank you for your reply. Our new baby has been keeping me from posting anything new. I have zero creative time it seems. I can't seem to find any time or inspiration to share anything helpful. The new home and baby are a bigger adjustment than I expected!
You are awesome. Great video! We have six kids, Catholic, and homeschool here in Maine!! ❤
Thank you for your kind words. Wow! I can't believe my itty-bitty little video reached you in Maine. I've visited your part of the world once before and loved the character houses and history. Thanks for commenting.
Hi! Thank you so much for sharing your ideas in homeschooling and how your family uses Memoria Press. We use it as well! I really like the program. I am interested in the template you put together for the Bible stories.
Thank you for the video! Do the lit guides differ quite a bit from the Classical Composition?
Awwww I am sorry hope they get better soon I know stomach bug is horrible my younger brother he got it it was horrible he threw up a lot then my mom she took him to hospital he couldn’t go to school for a week 😔😔
Congratulations on the new home! it is lovely. :)
I was so excited to see this video pop up! Love the new home and all the space!! Prayers for you and the baby for a smooth delivery!
Thank you for your prayers and kind words.
Love your videos! Thanks for sharing and hope you have a wonderful/safe labor and delivery and enjoy those newborn snuggles!!
Many, many thanks for your sweet words. I look forward to having a little, snuggly baby shortly.
Congrats on your new home and all the best for a safe delivery.
Thank you for the home congratulations and delivery well-wishes. I can't wait to meet this little one. This baby has come with some expensive changes but it's all going to be worth it!
I love that your linen closet is a book closet! Us too!
Yes! It's always a storage problem finding space for all the homeschool resources. I try to not buy everything but you do acquire quite the stockpile in nine years of teaching!
Happy to see you back with a video!
Thank you for your patience. My creative time has been reduced/outright eliminated with the demands of pregnancy, unpacking, and appointments.
Congratulations! Beautiful home you have made for your family. Praying for you for a safe delivery. ❤️
Thank you for your comment. I especially appreciate any prayers you could send for this delivery and a speedy recovery on my end.
I needed a moment to withdraw for a while and was excited to see your new video. So uplifting as always. Good job Pia on filming mom. Enjoy your new space 🙏
Pia was enthusiastic about helping me finish this latest video. We had a good laugh about all her jumpy moves and my lack of a head in many shots! She is a good daughter:)
Congrats on your beautiful new home!! Prayers for a safe delivery, you'll do great!
Thank you for the confident well-wishes. Birth is not for the faint-hearted! No matter how many times I do it, it is always a challenge.
I love the chapel room. You can tell you're a kind mother by how happy and relaxed your daughter is talking to you while filming.
The chapel room is my favourite place in the house too. It's not a waste of space to dedicate a special quiet, contemplative zone. It's the only room in the house where cart-wheels, play-dough and laundry do not happen:)
I think the last video I watched of yours was you announcing you were pregnant. At the time, I had recently had a home birth of my 6th child in 10 years. You're looking very at ease in your large new space. I think it makes such a difference. We've struggled so much since then in our 1636 square foot house of 3bed1bath and in serious disrepair (e.g. no bathroom door, serious bathroom leak, mould and worse for over 2 months. There's a horrible renting crisis in Australia)
I'm sorry to learn your current housing situation is less than ideal. A little more room in the kitchen, play-areas and bathrooms is helping our large family a lot. It was a real issue trying to get six kids bundled up and shoes on in a cramped hallway with doors everywhere. I had to practice much more patience and understanding in the old house. I hope you can find relief for your housing woes in Australia from a supportive landlord.
You're looking amazing ♥️
Thank you!
Thank you for the tour of your beautiful home.
You are most welcome. Thanks for watching !
God bless your beautiful family.
Thank you for you prayers. I really appreciate the supportive words as we prepare for all the joys and challenges of welcoming a new baby VERY soon.
Just letting you know: the Christian Liberty Reader is created for the parent/teacher to read TO the child - this is stated by both Christian Liberty and Memoria Press :)
THANK YOU! It has been awhile since I read the teacher manual instructions. It makes sense that the Christian Liberty Reader is to be read to the child. Thanks for clarifying.
@@TheKuesters thanks for all the great videos! Very helpful
Hi! I'm also in Canada and in my first year homeschooling! Do you sell your templates on Teachers pay Teachers, Etsy, or anywhere else? I love the weekly template for goals and weather.
Hi there. I don’t have any templates to share yet as I’m still in the process of figuring out what works and what doesn’t. Plus, I’m new to TH-cam! Thank you for your comment.
👍
Thank you for this great look through video. We used Bookshark for 5th and 6th but it wasn’t quite working. I loved it at first but it got dry quickly. I found Memoria press last year for 7th grade and now we have 8th grade as well. I’m thinking of ordering 9th grade because they are having free shipping this February. Lol. We love the classical approach and the workbooks that come with the reading.
Glad it was helpful! Best wishes to you and your children.
I love your videos! I'm also Canadian and I've been looking online for some Canadian coin rubber stamps but can't seem to find them anywhere. :/ Where did you find yours?
Hi and thanks for your comment. I was given the Canadian rubber stamps from another homeschool mom. I don’t know their source. My apologies.
Praying for you.
Prayer means so much! The day started crazy but we are much more settled now. What a huge change from ordinary life! Thank you for watching.
I was quite emotional when we moved from our little cottage into a bigger house. The move was truly a blessing,, but I remember walking through our empty little house after we had packed up and the tears were just streaming down my face. Our first three children had been born while we lived at that sweet little home and God had granted us some beautiful years of coziness and love. I imagine that you are feeling the same. All the best as you move on to your next exciting chapter!
Yes, moving is quite emotional - especially the last day for me. Now that we are out though, I can see the move will be a good one.
You are so well organized, congratulations, on the purchase, of your new home. Happy moving day!
Thank you. The move went well. It just took one truck and one trip to get the job done.
