I put the files where I was supposed to but I don't notice a difference. My game is the original Sims 3 disc from 2009, no origin or ea manager. I updated my Sims 3 game to patch so I could download the other xpacs. I got tired of origin and un-installed all my games and unchecked putting origin or the ea manager on at all. I can play the game with no internet. I want to have this lazy dutchess smooth patch but I am not sure why this isn't working for me

I'm not sure what exactly is causing this issue. it might be cause you didn't reinstall the sims properly. check the comments on the mod to see if any similar issues have occurred. when in doubt try reinstalling the mod.

Hey, do you have any other folders in the download folder? If so, remove them, and you downloads should work. Also here's where the folder should be - C:\Documents and Settings\<usernamehere>\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads

Make sure you place the mods folder in your The Sims 3 Folder. This Sims 3 folder is found in your documents. All the files with Sims 3 icons next to them are .Sims3Packs and won't be read when they're in Mods\Packages. Instead, you'll need to place them in ...\The Sims 3\Downloads, then install them through the launcher. The .package files in the Packages folder should stay where they are. It's of course a good idea to delete the cache files again after installing this content through the launcher. Steam delivers Patch 1.67. The procedure for modding it is exactly the same as on any other platform. The only gotcha to look out for is that Core Mods (of which ErrorTrap is one, none of the others from here that you would use would be) require a specific variant so as to avoid the core version mismatch error on startup. There are three variants available for the current version of ErrorTrap, and of course you would want the one for Steam/1.67.

Thank you for this comment 🙏. I have never heard the sock trick b4, so I'll try that. As for the Oshin and jolly prior information... I didn't get into who they were much because, I wanted to comment on the real issue. (Also, they are both simmers .... I feel like that's enough information for what I was trying to do) The idea of copying in sims, and the underlying problem with unoriginality in the TH-cam algorithm. I didn't want to put too much energy into either Oshin or Jolly. I felt as though that would be feeding into the drama. And I didn't want to do that for this specific topic. What happened between them happens a lot, especially in the sims 4 community. So, I wanted to address the overall problem. I wasn't doing a video essay. I was just saying what happened, my small opinion on it and what I felt was the cause if the interactions. I wanted it to be like just having casual chat with someone. However, if that's not how it came across, I will work on it.

@@TheSirenSims oooh that makes sense! since you referenced them a bit in the video, i was just a little confused on what you were talking about since i'm not that well-versed in the sims community. Still doesn't hurt to take it at face value and use their interaction as an example of the issue youre talking about to start the video that way; though i suppose if you click on the video you would probably kinda know the 'drama' quote unqoute by relating to the video's title, so i understand. Mostly was an opinion from what I expected when i clicked the video! Mentioning someone in the title makes it seem a little like a commentary piece on their situation specifically. Otherwise I think you do well with written scripts! You have a lovely voice ^^
