My wife and I walked up there last week.. that walk is tough!!

First arrived in this City,just before Christmas 1952. It was still very much in ruins from 79. allied air raids and had many temporary shops.The trams had started running again. I still thought it was great. After many more recent visits over the years ,I have not changed my mind.

Ah, fair Nîmes. As soon as I stepped out the station up that gorgeous wee alley between Av. Feuchères leading up to Les Arènes I knew I was in a spot to savour. It was July. The cicadas were providing that quintessential Midi soundtrack with their crazy buzzing, the buildings had that faded grandeur/shabby-chic look that France does like no other country on Earth (save Italy), and the general vibe was one of satisfied torpor in the summer sun. Sure, there’s not much to the place. To call it France’s Rome is to grossly insult the scale and richness of the Eternal City, but what there is, including, of course, the superbly preserved aforementioned Les Arènes and Maison Carrée, is worth a day of anyone’s life.

Bibo a Cagliari posso dire che Cagliari é una bellissima città che negli ultimi anni sta diventando sempre piu turistica, passeggiare per il centro storico è davvero bello anche se un po faticoso, si trovano tantissimi locali dove mangiare o fare aperitivo, negozi per fare shopping w un ottimo servizio di trasporto pubblico. Peccato per tutti quei muri con le scritte, se fosse piu curata sarebbe davvero la perfezione.
