The turning radius has to do with the length of the wheel. From the steers to the rear-drive. The Open road which is very much worth the lack of turning ability. Because you're safer. Any cb will talk around the world it's called skip it's the solar cycle it makes the signals bounce we're in the peak now so in about 5 years it will go back to mostly just local talk

I bet your neighbors at the truck stop are very happy with the loud ass generator running all night….and if you flip it around, the start switch, oil check, and plugs (you mentioned this) are on the wrong side. Not sure of the trucks setup by why not put it on the other side? Keeps the switch, oil dipstick and outlets on the ‘right side; but makes the exhaust face aft, eliminating the exhaust/CO2 problem.

I always had a radio in my truck as it helped for a huge amount of reasons. Cb rambos were a pain and cb shops with pumped radios talking loads made it hard to hear. The trick was to find a good setting and turn it down enough to not give u a headache but still work

my jake was almost always on. If you just touch the throttle, it shuts off. Loved the switches. The new plastic one piece throw away dashes with rocker switches suck. Cheap looking because they are cheaply built.

That isn't bad at all. I currently work at a small company that put me in a 2025 579 w/Paccar 455HP. 2.89 or so rears with a 12 speed auto. On paper it looks like it should get good fuel mileage. I never see over 7. It will touch 9 if I am empty for a long trip and have no hills at all. Most of the time it is a 5.5 or 6, even with just 20-25k in the box. Plus it already has issues with the engine at 49K miles. Obvious cost of DEF and truck payment as well. We run to the east coast and Tennessee. I like videos like this, cause it shows proof that driving habits and non emissions save fuel. Less environmental impact as well. The guy at our company, that specs trucks, laughs at us when we try to explain to him we need a better rear gear to up the mileage and stop beating the hell out of the engine for it to work. He has never even drove a truck 😆. Lets not forget it means a lot to love what you are driving.

Can radio doesn’t reach across the nation. Cb is limited to 4w power. 10m is limited to 200w. 10m is the guys talking across the country. But should absolutely not be on cb frequencies.

The way my dad used to do it was by counting each spin and then when installing doing the same amount of spins, although this was on a T 800 years back, I’m not too sure if that’s the most efficient method

Citizen Tsuyosa is a decent choice to add to the collection. Also the Laco Aachen. I’m more of Bulova guy but I enjoy whatever’s in my prize range and I think is nice. Good Choice driver, don’t see to many drivers with nice time pieces

Take it for a drive, loaded. Drive it for at least 1/2 hour. If the truck has new tires up front. Get a jack and lift a wheel and check the king pins, tie rods, etc. If you are unable to, hire someone to do it for you. Don't be in a rush. Wait for the oil sample analysis. It will save you money and grief. If the seller does not cooperate, walk away. There are a gazillion trucks for sale out there.

You should drive Volvo. All these issues don’t exist with them. Lol

I love my CB radios. I got into CB for off roading, which I often use it for, but I have one in all my vehicles plus a base station in my house and shop. The skip is going crazy these days, so although I don't necessarily care about guys with amps and high power export radios talking across the nation, I do wish they would confine it to a couple channels. They have 6 and 11 for that stuff, they really don't need to invade the trucker channels and 4x4 channels as well. It would be really appreciated if you guys out there with the high powered rigs would stay off 4, 14 (HT channel), 16(alt 4x4 channel), 18 and 19 (trucker channels). The world is a better place with some courtesy.
