Awesome! Lots of power in those formations.
Love Kimberly regions 🎉🎉
oh wow, it can get that high? Been there twice and it was 50cm max..
Mean az bro the lifestyle aye cool az
Didn’t need a run up in my fully stock, fully loaded Suzuki Jimny to get over the keyhole dunes…
what do you think about the hot spot issue other youtuber were commenting on about them?
Why hasn’t anyone put a small ladder there at el qestro…would make it a lot easier for people to get up that rock. Great video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’m doing el questro so glad I’m not the only one who was nervous about the water crossings 😅 sounds like you got a Toyota v8 ?
Thanks mate. Glad you enjoyed it… I was nervous about that crossing, Bernece wasn’t haha. Yep that was our old V8 Cruiser. She was a beauty
Great videos. Was the pentacost a salt water crossing? Havnt found anything that says its not?
On the basis of that review I might get some. I was going to say those dots would drive me friggen insane (whoops I did) but after reading the comments and how you're used to them I'm prepared to take a punt. It's the package - particularly the mounts that and construction that I like. I'm a shift worker truckie. I commute to base nearly always in the dark at least once per shift ie either to of from work. Lights on trucks are fantastic but on my beloved high mileage commuter car, an '03 Magna AWD I've damaged her bad on roos going to work or coming home. Worse, I only drive at 60km/h on the highway after dark (a luxury my employer would dismiss me for if I did 60 in 100km/h zones in our tankers) and still I can't seem to avoid the kunce. Late last year I hit a roo at 60km/h I had to replace the bonnet, radiator and bumper and got 6 weeks and hit another destroying the bumper and radiator (bonnet was alright this time). I can keep fixing her but you just know it's going to happen again. Every night swerving one side of the road to another, slam the brakes on - it's out of control. I just rebushed the entire rear end and replaced all the shocks on her. It's an old heap but in excellent mechanical condition and I always spend money keeper her tip top because she's so reliable. Trans just serviced again too, oil changes every 2 months. Poor 'ole thing has another 200,000 in her. Was hoping to get her to 600. Hit a wallaby 3 nights ago. Split the bumper almost in half and bought the 2nd Territory today. So, I already own a Turbo Territory Ghia but I'm not commuting in that, so I bought another AWD Territory non turbo just so I can fit a bull bar and driving lights. I know the bar I'm getting, but need some 7" lights. I found Lightfox, then I always look for the model above my price range before committing. 7" then the model up is the 7" Laser. Your review on the 9" Laser was the closest I can find. The spread + the distance seems like a winner. Hope the 7" Lasers have similar spread and a bit of distance.
is it worth having a uhf radio
It definitely was especially for overtaking road trains. They are very accommodating to help you get past on the UHF
nice spotties but your engine sound so good :D love it
Thanks mate.. it’s got a nice note to it that’s for sure 👍
Put that title on a shirt and I'll buy it...!! That's why I have a tuned 76 series, on portals with and 8speed auto 👍👍👍
First of all.. I think your tee shirt idea is a winner. Second.. your rig sounds awesome!! 🍻👍👍
Can’t go I have to be poisoned.
can you delete the dots , they would piss me off
Nah you can’t… maybe a round sticker over the top would delete them lol
I would find those two white dots super distracting and not use them for that reason.
Thanks for your feedback. We don’t even notice them unless you’re looking for them. Cheers 🍻 👍
I dont drive at night , an emu damaged the side of my car during the day let alone whats running around at night.
That’s not a cool experience. Fair enough mate 👍🍻
While i don't doubt your honesty i find this sort of thing taking over 4wd TH-cam influencers. The amount of gear being thrown at them for free by 4wd accessories companies is getting ridiculous. To be honest I'd would take more vaulue from someone who had to pay for a product out of their own pocket . It is getting harder to sort the truth from the Bullshit.
Fair enough and thanks mate. All the best 👍🍻
A good review, Steve. I had a similar set of your previous lights - the blue surrounds are a dead giveaway. The mounts were absolute garbage - vibrated loose after 10km on the Weipa Rd! Those mounts look super solid on your new set. And like you, I could never keep them adjusted properly. The light output wasn’t too bad, but yeah, I was getting eye dazzle from the road signs. I replaced them with a light bar from the same manufacturer and am still trying to get that one dialled in properly. I’m not super happy with it. I might have to check your supplier and see if they do a 7” set. The 9’s are a tad too big for my bullbar. They fit. Just! Cheers for the review, mate.
Haha good spotting of the old lights. Your right about the old mounts being garbage. They do have a 7inch with mostly the same specs however the bracelet is only 3mm. Vic Off-road have them. We’re enjoying them… big difference. Thanks for your feedback 👍👍🍻
The only downside to good driving lights is when on low beam you feel like your driving blind. How are you finding those 2 white dots ahead of you? Cheers
That’s so true especially with old landcruiser headlights. I thought they might become annoying but I don’t really notice them now. Cheers mate 🍻
I was coming here to ask the same question
@@jasonkerry1 yeah don’t really notice them and on the plus side you can tell at a glance if one is starting to move in the mounts
Good review. 👍 Though for me, I think those two white dots in the middle will get annoying after a while.
Yeah I get it and I did think that at first but I don’t really notice it now. Cheers mate 🍻
I was thinking the exact same thing tbh.
I love this B!!! You look so happy!!!
It was a lot of fun!
Beautiful place, mate! Cheers for the vid!👍
It really is a beautiful place. Thanks mate 🍻👍
That’s bloody awesome! Well done and proves you don’t need to spend a fortune to get a practical solution. Cheers
That was the challenge issued by my wife lol… she loves it 👍🍻
Life is to short to have regrets so pack up move out and hit the road and learn to live again🙌
That sounds like a great idea to me! Definitely on the cards 👍👍
Looks like lots of fun.
So much fun.. you got to try it!
Steve and Bernece, you are amazing, Please keep the videos going. love it and Steve you are awesome with your artwork,Well done P.s We did get the v8 100 series, now we have to get it ready for our first trip just as you did. A loyal fan of your channel. Well done.
Congratulations on your new 100 series!! That’s exciting. You’ll have fun setting up the big rig. If you’re on instagram you can follow us there and send us a picture of the new Cruiser. Love to see it. Thanks for your support. Steve and Bernece
Bit sad that so many tyre marks all along the beach. Why would that be good?
I’m not sure.. Is this a trick question?
My favourite part of SE Qld - add the tripod track onto your list next time
Hey cool.. we didn’t know about the tripod track. We definitely want to go back so we’ll look it up. Thanks 👍🍻
You sir are a great artist. I love your style and colour choices. Beautiful. And what a great trip. Lucky I haven't forgotten my ladder for my RTT <touch wood>. W/o it would made urgent middle of the night bio-breaks very interesting. 😁
Hahaha well I made it out and back at about 3am somehow. Thanks for the kind comments regarding the artwork. I’m dying to paint some of the landscapes from the Gib trip 👍🍻
Nice one guys. ‘Straddie’ looks awesome, we have nothing like that down here in Vic. Great work on the bath - you are very talented. Cheers
Thanks very much! It was fun to restore the old bath. I hope you can get to Straddie sometime. It’s a great place. Cheers Steve and Bernece
It’s the only place in Queensland where you still need vax status. Beautiful place but an absolute rip off compared to FRASER.
@@Andy_73 that’s for sure.. couldn’t believe we had to do the Covid shit
Great artwork, mate!
Thanks mate!!
lol why on earth would you guys have a coffee machine? It's what wankers take on a touring and off road adventure.
Thanks from the wankers!! You do you boo ❤️🍻🤣🤣
Hey there wankers, what’s the brand of the coffee machine you’re using ☕️
@@meganansley7742 hahaha it’s Nespresso.. we like it extra creamy 😂😂😂
You at Frazer island?
This is North Stradbroke Island but hopefully up on Frazer at the end of the month
@@steveandbernece4x4travels yeah i went to frazer a couple months ago but half of it is shut down cause they keep feeding the dingos and they are geting agressive
@@Kwest_bk oh man that sucks.. hopefully we don’t encounter any
@@steveandbernece4x4travels hope you have a good time and pack food away😊
@@Kwest_bkits fraser not frazer
Well, you need to see the right video, when you want to do something you want to do by your self.
Haha that’s true.. thanks mate 👍🍻
Maybe it was a small ammount of welding but you should still wear gloves and sleeves. One time i did a bunch of short little welds on something maybe like 15 3 second little lines on this cart and my entires arm got red and peeled for a weeks
Wow that’s crazy.. yeah good point thanks mate
That’s my official Motto 🤣👍🏻👋
Mine too!! 🤣🤣🍻
Is that car on jack stands
Sure was 🍻👍
There's a gas tank back there 🔥🔥💥🛑
That’s a very good point you make.. good thing only the cardboard caught fire aye
What idiot puts cardboard down under a spot your welding on
Very nice.
Thanks mate!! Appreciate the comment
The problem with the Gibb is it's heavily used and it can have appalling battery plate destroying corrugations or you might get lucky and drive it after a grader has been through. Is it worth it? Well we left the caravan at Wyndum and that was a very good move.
I recon that was a good move. We definitely think it’s worth it and we want to go back and finish it. Happy travels 👍👍
My uncle was coming home from Birdsville, heading south on the track. He was overtaken by a guy in a new Hilux going hard on the rough. An hour later, there was the same Hilux, on the side of the road with the left front wheel almost completely ripped off. Rough roads are hard on vehicles, drive to the conditions or there will be consequences.
Absolutely.. you’re not wrong. When we were there a couple told us of a young guy in a 79 over took them doing high speed. They came across him minutes later off the road with serious damage to the 79
your a clever boy stevo, all that brain and an awesome bass player as well ;) wow.
You’re too kind Cam.. thanks mate!! I was inspired by all the many super cool pull out camp kitchens I see on TH-cam that I can’t afford lol
Hand brake not working, isn’t that just normal yota business? 🤣
🤣🤣 you’re not wrong. I had it working before the trip too but that didn’t last
Awesome ,love it. So beautiful.
It sure is Rob.. Bernece wants to go back a kayak it 😬
We are so blessed for our beautiful country, never kayaked before but it sure looks peaceful. @@steveandbernece4x4travels
Great DIY build. Looks ultra practical for your needs. Good one. 👍
Thanks mate! It’s getting a few adjustments today 👍👍
Use the 3 bolts per light supplied.
Yeah okay good idea. Will do thanks
