About 15 minutes drive 25 minutes walk from Yudanaka Station 湯田中駅 , monkeys take baths at at Jigokudani 地獄谷 park. Literally, "Jigokudani" means "Hell Valley". In the heart of winter (Jan/Feb), snow and ice, cliffs and geysers are a forbidding combination.
