Hey everyone, welcome back to Carter's Powerwashing channel! Today's video is a special one, as we put Southeast Softwash's Ox-Nox to the ultimate test. Curious about what Ox-Nox claims to do and whether it lives up to the hype? This video covers it all-first impressions, application, and, of course, the results. I just ordered their complete ball valve set up the other day. It came in today. It’s awesome!!!
Calling people a rookie for using a soap tip is dumb. Not everybody gets sucked into remote controlled equipment. The largest oldest pressure washing company in my area after 27 years still does not even have hose reels. A rookie is the one who pays 30 dollars for a gallon of chemical he could get for 5, but that's cool Cody depends on fools to make his living.
Jeez, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Everybody has their opinion, and so do I. I would rather make more money per hour being able to finish quicker because I don’t have to walk back-and-forth to the trailer to switch chemical. Rookies don’t know there are other options. I don’t think I held a gun to anybody said enforce them to do what I would like to do. Some people learn their own ways and what works for them works for them. Be blessed and go love on your catfish. It’s Coty btw.
So true brother
I live in Nashville. I go to a a local power wash store here and I always see the southeast softwash skids and trailer being worked on
@@HouseWashingRick so this video is about OX-KNOX, find a video on their trailer and leave a comment there.

I know it’s for soft wash system can you use it for down streaming as well
For sure!

Kool Video, Bro.... Muchas Gracias. I digs... please keep posting new stuff. I am a fan Now !!!
Sweet, make sure you sub and click the bell
Just let them keep hating while you pick up the jobs they mess up.
How much is the industry charging for this service? Im sure it is across the board, but what are you charging, roughly? Thank you in advance.
Man it’s gonna be different depending on the area you’re in. I haven’t had to do a full house yet, but I would say you could easily charge double what a normal house wash would be. Hope that helps, sorry I have competition that watches my videos, can’t give out specific prices. Maybe some other guys can give their input….
Legit question tho. Oxknox is quite expensive and takes a while to ship to my apartment. Do you think LA Awesome would work in the mean time while I wait?
In a pinch it would work, not sure I would try to do a full house. That stuff is cheap and easy to get, but if you want a professional result, go with professional equipment.
Rinsing with the ball valve like that is essentially applying pressure to remove the oxidation. You can do this very same thing with LA Awesome! Rinse it down with the soap tip to convince me!!
I don’t use a soap tip anymore, that’s rookie stuff lol. I have used LA before, but I find this to be a better product.
It is still bleach sodium precarbonate check your ingredients on back of container.
I understand what your trying to say, but the title says bleach, as in SH, which without the other stuff that's in Wood wizard, could damage the wood, and not work as well as this does. Be blessed.
I’m pressure sure wood wizard is a sodium metasilicate so similar to precarbonate but better in my opinion.
so lucky you guys have that in America. I wish there is ox nox in Canada :3 ppfttt
I wish we had better healthcare like Canada, call it even LOL.
damn 12/10
Ox Knox is the best on the market. It was also the only product that would clean up my nasty gutters. I simply love it
Be careful with gutters, if it’s too hot then it will melt the paint!
@@CarterspowerwashingNC I saw that on another video!!! The guy said it didn’t work on the siding, then said “oops, it took the gutters down to bare metal” 🤣🤣🤣
@@truthseeker1532 I saw that as well… read the label, ask questions.
You guys are so lucky to have access to all the different chemicals over there here in the uk (tiny spcek called guernsey) i strougle to get anything that would help get the jobs done sh is about it for me. Love the look of the timber, though that stuff works wonders. Good job, and thank you
I live in California I would charge at least $250
Hey, Does the wood wizard solution dry too fast if in the sun?
Dries like everything else… just keep it wet and you should be good. You could also pre wet the wood to cool it off.
Certainly looks better. Would like to have seen some more b-roll action while doing the cleaning.
I will keep that in mind. Thanks for the comment.
Do I need a professional power wash to spray the wood wizard or mine 2gpm should do the job?
Nope, you see I use a pump up sprayer. That’s probably the best way to do it. Then rinse in off with pressure washer (white tip) and don’t get to close to the wood.
@@CarterspowerwashingNC i appreciate great informative video
@@CarterspowerwashingNC Would a down stream rinse with something like a jrod be fine or is white tip the minimum you would go?
Can you mix the surfactant with the bleach-water mix?
You can. The only downfall is when you pre-treat and post treat concrete. You will have a soapy mess. Other than that you can. Or you can get a proportioner like what you would have with the soft wash pump. That way you can raise or lower the amount of soap.
Looks great 💪, I would recommend finishing it off with an Oxilic Acid if it was a customers, neutralizes the PH of the wood, opens the pores to better accept stain, gets rid of stamps n nail bleads
If you mix ammonia and bleach you won’t have to worry about your decks being dirty ever again.
😂
Is that the formula for mustard gas or chloroform I know one of them needs urea
Never mix bleach and ammonia, it can be deadly.
In my opinion it doesn't work. I used it last Saturday and it didn't remove the oxidation even I had to use a brush. I diluted it 50/50
Might need a little stronger mix, depending on how oxidized it is. Make sure you let it dwell also.
@@CarterspowerwashingNC I waited for 15 minutes.
lets go.
Helpful vid
So the smart stream system eliminates the need for the downstream injector bypass and it continuously rinses your injector when it’s off?
Yes sir, that’s the best part, I have had it over a year and have had no issues with my injector. I think the continuous water rinsing sets it above the other companies that sale something similar. Way worth the couple extra dollars they charge.
@@CarterspowerwashingNC thanks I built my own after watching this video.
I will say this.. you Have to use this one roofs. If not you will work twice as hard
Well I’ll be
Seems to work better for metal than vinyl siding
Doesn’t it say 1:5 ratio on the bottle for heavy oxidation???Why did you make yours so strong
Yeah, I did a 50-50 mix because some people don’t know how to do ratios, so I just wanted a easy reference point for everybody to see.
Many products will remove oxidation, Especially on a hot Summer day.......Mainly degreasers like Purple Power Castrol Super Clean etc.... But also a good aluminum brightener will effortlessly remove it,..But keeping everything wet is critical. Getting it removed evenly on EVERY job can be the challenge... Especially a two story...Not saying it can't be done,..But call backs will be more likely when removing oxidation and it ends up with an uneven appearance. Oxidation isn't dirt or mold,.it is failing material,..No big deal,..Just don't disturb it....I sell house washed all the time with no oxidation removal....People understand when it's explained to them....
Definitely other products to use, this is just my opportunity to promote a business I believe in and have used the product now a few times with great results. The only problem with those other chemicals is that most of the time you have to brush the chemical to get it to work. This is spray on, let it work, and rinse off. Definitely can wash a house and not add on oxidation removal. However if you can add it on and make it look good, the. That’s another service you can have to make you money. God bless and thanks for the comment!
@@CarterspowerwashingNC Yea,..I started in 1996 and removing oxidation is what I considered as part of a house a wash at that time...But after about 10 years of doing that I had enough. Sometimes it was spray on and rinse and other jobs had to at least have partial brush and hands on....So I started just washing over it and no one even notices or cares.....Yes,..It can be an upgrade on house washing,..But I would refer to it as "siding restoration" if I were marketing it...Kinda' like washing a car compared to buffing...
@@CarterspowerwashingNC I've always paid attention to MSDS/SDS information. Usually found on the packaging or even online. Butyl is often the base in gutter cleaners and oxidation removers,..with the addition of NAOH or KOH,..oxknox lists (2-Butoxyethanol) which is the same thing found in most of those other type cleaners. (I actually buy 2-Butoxyethanol in pure form in (5) gallon buckets and use it to bump up PP for gutter streaks if and when needed. Usually in cooler weather.....Being flexible and being able to adjust percentages is key,..because every job isn't the same) I've seen enough online to see that oxknox isn't always spray on and rinse off,..So what sets it apart and makes it worth the high price tag. Walmart sells PP for $25 for (5) gallons....And can be tweaked with NAOH or Butyl if you choose......I rarely pay much attention to TH-cam videos of miracle products but figured I'd try to help anyone willing to listen,....So anyhow,..good luck in the washing business.
Wow! Great results!
Zero - the amount of oxidation that came off every building I’ve tried it on.
Have you ever tried OX-Knox? It’s good stuff man. They are not paying me to say it. I have tried others in the past, this is good stuff!
What was the ratio and dwell times?
Dwell time was 10-15 minutes (Sun was drying it out. About a 3.5-4% bleach strength.
@@CarterspowerwashingNC mixed in with Ox Knox?
@mountainviewsoftwash9135 I feel like you needed more pressure when rinsing in your video. Maybe that will do the trick for you. After watching this video did you learn anything in regards to what you did wrong ?
@@mountainviewsoftwash9135 no, ox Knox was not needed for this. There was no oxidation to be removed.
@@MR.TOYBOX I think the wind was probably the main issue. I had pretty good pressure on one side of it where the wind was in my favor, other side not so much. Probably should have waited, just wanted their homecoming service to look good.
Are you sponsored by southeast?
Not at all, I bought the smarty stream and reached out to them to see if I could make a video for them and they were cool with it. I like their products and so why not give them some love. I wish I could get sponsored and have a nice trailer lol!!

Wild!i I stopped using surfactant myself after seeing Mike with all about pressure washing's video and I have to do two coats often. So my next one I will turn on the soap tank and see what happens.
For sure man, it’s night and day. When I wasn’t use a soap I would be doing a lot of rinsing and finding myself going back. Didn’t have to with this surfactant. I will say, I was using eliminator before and I was still having to rinse twice on really hot days. It was about 92 on the day we filmed this video and didn’t have any issues. If you don’t have a surfactant from Southeast softwash I would recommend trying it out.
@@CarterspowerwashingNC What kind of ratio/ amount do you use on the house?
@@itsatrap7215 I think the label recommends like 7oz per gallon. I use a 55 gallon drum for bleach and put about 3/4 of a gallon per 50 gallons. I don’t like a lot of soap and found this mix works pretty good for me.
So you can batch mix this with Sh and Sh will keep its strength?
Do you just let the windows dry on their own?
Yes sir
My customers love that southern twang smell and the surfactant good on the windows very good
Yeah Twang was good as well. I guess I was just used to the lemon scent from an old surfactant I had used in the past.
Love Southern Drawl!
