Hello fellow travelers, my name is JB and I am a 100% disabled combat veteran with a passion for the outdoors. I spent almost a decade serving in the Army as an Infantryman where I got to see the world for better and worse. Throughout my time in the military on multiple deployments and through training exercises I saw the importance preparedness had in the mission success. I found myself missing the planning, the reckoning and the journey itself to the destination, so I sought one of the only things that has brought me peace over the years, the outdoors. I got home from my second deployment and was in need of a new truck and luck would have it, I found "Wilson" my 2011 Ford Raptor. I fell in love immediately and soon planned a 14 day 11 state excursion. That was in 2015, now I live in Texas with my wife and five boys and we explore every chance we get. Follow me on my journey taking this rig from stock to my vision of an expedition truck!

I like driving in the dark so we decided to drive out at dusk. My boys love overlanding so I took three of them to explore the north western side of Hochatown, OK. I took three of my boys camping around 11k' in the St. Isabel National Forest just West of Trinidad, Colorado. They had a blast on the drive in. We found a ledge that was only about 30' wide before it dropped off a couple hundred feet. Beautiful yet terrifying. Take the scenic route just sw of Yellowstone's southern gate. All kinds of wildlife and plenty of spots to pull off and camp. The trail starts off in dense woods and ends in Idaho farm country.

On our way to Montana we hit this trail south of Yellowstone National Park. Beautiful trail, although busier than I would have liked we were still able to find a great spot near a lake. 50” light bar, 20” light bar, 3” rounds, 2” ambers and aftermarket headlights!
Love your videos. They bring some courage for us to do the same. I love lights and having said that should say you have an amazing setup. Do you have an yellow filter, that will be so much better for all weather night drives, if you're eyes like them. What setup do you have on the aux lights?
You can do it! I run a 50" light bar up on the roof, 20" light bar low on the grill guard and I run a set of both white and amber small rounds at the bottom of the grill guard. I am looking to get some amber ditch lights as well! Thank you!

Cedar creek trail I believe. North of Hochatown, left side of 259 you’ll see the turn off.
know the area well! been going there every August for 10 years and will be back there again this August!!
