I think within Taipei or bigger cities it’s probably fine (esp if you deal with younger generations). For smaller towns, it will be harder ngl, but you will still survive with google translate! There are english tours offered via Klook or KKDay too👍 Also learn a few keywords like 这个(zhe ge -> this) 那个 (na ge -> that) will be very helpful. By then you should be able to order food 🤣 Hope this is helpful!

Thanks for watching! I went in early September! I think it depends on the type of vehicles you’re renting. Based on the info I got online, generally - electric scooter: not required but only limited to 1 person and no passenger allowed - normal scooter (gas/petrol powered): yes - car: yes to be safe I brought along my international drivers permit and used that to rent my normal scooter Hope this helps!
