This is so amazingly skilled! I have a question about how to dry the cups without cracks. I tried to make a basic cup with 市松 Ichimatsu pattern, but it made a big crack from top to bottom on the opposite side to the handle - how to avoid this? In your video it looks like the cups are not covered in plastic. Thank you again for sharing your talent :)

Thank you. Not many artist try to define the difference between each technique. The term "agateware" can also be used for the Marbleware as that was what my teachers called the technique but has its roots tied to the England pottery tradition. (as far as I know there is not an equal to the Nerikomi/Neriage )

How much of the oxide and cobalt are you using? And for how much clay?

Beautiful, but not sure where the black color comes from? Is it the stain, or the cobalt and iron oxide? Seems to be the stain as it only appeared after staining. What stain did you use? Thanks!
