Very cool!!!
Great video. I have some createx paints and have not been able to spray them and it turn out. I am using a .3 nozzle and from what I see I should be using a .5 nozzle. What do you use . Thanks for sharing your work
Nice work on the replica Craig! The turn signals and scoop are a great touch! The Sedan Delivery is gorgeous! The mahogany floor looks great! I'm in love with your 70 1/2 Camaro! The Doc & Martin is sweet! The Nilki Chevrolet Camaro is beautiful! Awesome builds! 😎👍
Wait, what glycerin ?
Looking good. A lot of those parts in black primer don't look like they need any paint. Look good to me in the primer. It sure was easier when I was like 10 years old. Paint everything with a brush except i'd use the little can of Testors spray on the body and glue it all together. Can't wait to see how you thin the apple barrel. I've been told 20 different ways and have yet to ever spray any with satisfactory results. I can't wait to try your system. Watching for the next video. Sam
Turning out nice, love the rear window loovers cool, sweet update 🍻🇦🇺🦘🪃🍻
Looking good, I'll be following along on this one. Have a great week!!
Watching 🍻 🇦🇺 🦘 👀 congratulations on 2K Subscribers well deserved, still watching the show 👏
I have been looking at the kit fora while now. After seeing your unboxing, I will be adding it to my collection. Thanks.
It's a nice one!
Nice unboxing, be watching for the build. Thanks for sharing.
👍👍😎
Interesting! They include decals for the very rare Ford Dealers Kansas City Region Special Edition Twister version. I planned to build one of those, and now I won't have to chase down the decals.
Ya need to work on your paint prep skills. I see a lot of flaws in the paint, especially in the center of the engine hood looks really rough. Exhaust tubes are very rough details detail details, detail details that’s what it’s all about other than that. The build came out pretty good.
The hood is because I had to grind the underneath for clearance. No it's not all about details X5, it's about having fun building a plastic model kit. I don't build for show tables and I don't take 6 months to build a model car striving for perfection. My viewers know that, at least most of them. I build on a budget and try to show others how to do so as well.
nice update
Great tutorial. First time viewer and a new subscriber now. Thanks for sharing this.
Nice
Nice kit can't wait to see what you do with it 👍🏻
That's very informative. I always wanted to try ghost flames . I just may have to now.
I’ve got that kit and the GT kit, unbuilt so far, so I’m looking forward to seeing your build. Thanks!
i've been eyeballing that kit for a while now, i'm thinking i might try and customize it to the mad max interceptor look.
I've recently purchased that kit and I'm looking forward to following along. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!!
I will be watching for updates! Looks like it will be a great build!
Cool project! Watching.
Would that work with spray can paint also? or is it too thick? I could see some flame edges when you pulled up, I wondered if that edge be worse with rattle can paint?
If you spray light enough coats, spray cans should work fine. There were some edges, but I think I showed that I lightly sanded them down. The same can be done using spray cans.
Never bought from that company... does each type car have it's own flames? Or just a generic flame and you make it fit your body? Like if you had the 66 Nova, do they have 66 Nova flames? Thanks, still watching.
They have a few specific ones, like 30 and 32 Fords, Tri-5 Chevy's and a few more. Most are generic though. Check out their ebay store or Iceman Collections has some on his website too.

Beautiful!
Great video Craig! Good timing since I bought the flames for my Fire Chief build because I saw your ghost flames in your last video. I gave you credit for the idea even though I really messed up your channel name. Sorry, I did put the correct name in the description. Thank you 😎👍
I use the Createx as well Craig and I would like to know your wet sanding process. I have tried and it hasn't gone well. Thanks, Mike
Thanks for the shoutout! I know yours will turn out awesomely!
@@theintake8961 I let the clear dry for at least 4-5 days. I start out with 4000 or 6000 grit polishing pads depending on how smooth it dried. I sand very lightly, especially around peaks and curves. Then 8000, and 12000. I squeeze out the pads good after dipping in the water and just barely wet the surface. I do not allow too much water and definitely don't let it pool. I do have a Createx Clear Tutorial as well. I think I'll try to show my wet sanding process on my next build, the Revell 1970 Torino.
@@StumpyGrumpsScaleSpeedShopThank you so much for taking the time to explain your process Craig! I will definitely watch your clear coat video! 😎👍
Looks amazing!! Love that blue! What was the mixing ratio for the clear blue paint and PSI you sprayed it at ? Oh,needle size on airbrush? I have a set of those flames for a 49 Merc. Going to give it a go. Thanks. Al.
Thanks! I didn't really measure the ratio, so I'm not sure. My best guess would be 60% paint to 40% thinner. I used my homemade thinner also, which consists of 3 parts distilled water, 1 part 91% isopropyl alcohol and 4-5 drops of glycerin per 8 oz. batch. I use the Gaahleri GHAD-39 airbrush with the .38 needle at 22-25 psi.
Thanks for the info. You used the glycerin to prevent tip dry? I have that airbrush! Just getting use to it, been practicing and watching videos like yours. It helps! Thanks again!
@@nitroAl67 No problem! Yes, the glycerin is slippery stuff and even just 4-5 drops in an 8 ounce batch of thinner helps keep the tip lubricated. I wouldn't use much more than that ratio though, it starts affecting consistency and drying time.
Awsome simply Awsome Paint job
Hello, I enjoy your videos, I have posted my Belair and Chevelle to show you that sometimes people just have similar thoughts. I use Auto Zone paint and therefore have no room for error, although they do happen. I used the metal flake black and I think light charcoal grey (ford) on the 1955 and just plain silver on the 67 chevelle.
Great tutorial brother!
How do you think your createx paints
I use their 4011 Reducer. I thin them a little more than their recommendations on their website.
@@StumpyGrumpsScaleSpeedShop Kool thanks I have a bunch of createx paints but haven't used them yet
Great video, thanks for sharing.
Great Video!!! Thanks for sharing
Would it be of any advantage to use a Q-tip to burnish it?
A q-tip would be softer, but might not be strong enough to really close down the edges.
First time seeing that done. Looking forward doing on one of my projects. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing. (125 Rods)
Thank you for the how to. That helps.
Great job nice color combo!
That is sweet
