    If it's worth noting Musk didn't invent the idea, maybe it's also worth questioning that he continuously gave the impression and why. Jeez.

    • @build_bright
      @build_bright ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your comment! You're absolutely right that Elon Musk didn't invent the idea of Hyperloop, but his involvement and promotion of the concept has brought it to the forefront of public attention. Many people credit Musk with popularizing the idea and driving innovation in the transportation industry. That being said, it's always important to acknowledge the contributions of others. I think it's great that you pointed out that Musk didn't invent the Hyperloop, and I appreciate your input. Thanks again for watching my video and taking the time to share your thoughts!

    • @angusmcbagus
      @angusmcbagus ปีที่แล้ว

      It seems apparent to me that Hyperloop teams have several (impossible) challenges to overcome, many pointed out in your video. We should have moved on immediately and not have sunken any public funds into the idea. It's money destruction...

    • @build_bright
      @build_bright ปีที่แล้ว

      @@angusmcbagus I understand your concerns about the challenges facing Hyperloop teams, but I believe that investing in new technologies is important for progress. Many innovative ideas faced skepticism and obstacles before they became a reality. The Hyperloop has the potential to significantly reduce travel times and have positive environmental impacts. While there are still challenges to overcome, I believe it's worthwhile to continue exploring this idea. What do you think?

    • @angusmcbagus
      @angusmcbagus ปีที่แล้ว

      I think capital is limited and has to he invested wisely. I didn't see the breakthrough or disruption in 2013 that suddenly made this old idea viable. I don't see it now and don't expect it to come. I think if he believed in the idea, Musk could sink his own money into it. I have no issue with private ventures researching and proving concepts, just don't pour tax dollars into such a shaky concept early on in the word of Elon Musk et al. I wouldn't wait for hyperloop as a transportation enthusiast anyhow, nothing likely will come close to the dream I'm afraid.

    What a terrible idea to transport an automobile at that incredible speed. The energy released in an accident is enormous and a single crash will doom it just like the Concorde. Nothing is lost though if the tunnels are already dug. Just make it a conveyor belt full of very smooth bearings and some novel material to make the ride very smooth. The car carriers would be like sledges that can be made light and durable. Speed is reduced to about 40MPH. The carriers could also hold sleeping railroad cars. Sell additions to cars that make bearable to live in it for a a few days. Would be best to transport sleeping railroad cars made of light materials than an entire car. This way only the persons and luggage are transported instead of the additional 4000lb car.

    • @build_bright
      @build_bright ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your comment and for sharing your ideas about alternative transportation methods. You raise a valid point about the potential risks and safety concerns of transporting cars at such high speeds. Your suggestion for using a conveyor belt with smooth bearings and lightweight car carriers is interesting and could potentially offer a safer and more efficient alternative.

While it's true that many buildings today are made mostly of concrete, architects and engineers are constantly working to find ways to incorporate more sustainable materials and design practices into their projects. In fact, many modern buildings already feature green roofs, living walls, and other green technologies.
