Thanks for the comment- yeah it’s pretty sad seeing the snapper get hammered. We basically don’t target them anymore and mostly go for kingfish. As for fishery officers- almost never and they NEVER check boat from marinas and I have seen some tiny snapper go on some huge boats!

@unableseamen3046 I wondered, we're not well resourced. I have never seen one. I would welcome them onto my very small piece of paradise, anytime, as you would.

Hey thanks for the comment! Totally agree with you about the sea keeping… I’ve been on lots of trailer boats and some are great- but none of them feel like this boat- it feels like a mini launch. We love it so much and use it as much as well can. I can confirm a sea anchor is now on board! 😂

@unableseamen3046 Here's a tip if you don't already know. If you're planning on big seas, curtains shut stuff, tape the leading edge of the canopy to the windscreen . It saves those green ones shooting up that beautiful windscreen and getting you all wet. I've subscribed, been looking for some people in the right boat, my opinion of course 😉

Thanks for the comment! We absolutely loved this trip! The mustang definitely added to it- the roads were incredible. Just check the road is open all the way otherwise you may need to do the diversion that we had to do which added half a day. Parking was easy to find but not all that cheap- my advice is when booking accommodation make sure there is parking with it. San Fran we basically just parked the car at the hotel and rode the tram everywhere.

Great boats! Now riders are cool But I am glad we had the cabin for overnight missions!

​@unableseamen3046 they really were great boats. They certainly weren't given the credit they deserved in my opinion. The shape of the hull allowed them to cut through the waves and corner really well. The hulls were tough too. They could take a beating. I remember the seats were the first thing to break down but the 85 Force outboard ran well and was powerful for the 16ft vessel it was pushing. We did water skiing, tubing, and fishing with it. Awesome memories.

Hey mate thanks for the comment, glad you are enjoying it! Yeah I just have zero faith after that situation, and I am reluctant to go down that road again… maybe if I was given some to try but I doubt I’d go purchase them after that! Just easier to tie them on and know it’s good!

Hey thanks for the kind message! We love making it! I don’t have a huge amount of knowledge when it comes to land based spots there, but I think any headland with good current going past will be a good start. There is a mussel farm close to shore a the man of war end of the island which could provide some natural burley. There is heaps of good rocky outcrops on the northern side as well that would definitely hold fish!
