My channel aims to capture some of the experiences I've had with cars and provides reviews on cars I think have fallen under the radar. I just can't get enough of owning, driving and experiencing a wide variety of cars but my interests may be considered rather niche! I hope to cover a wide range of the activities I do with cars, such as driving on track, owning rather special cars, fixing cars and going on rather epic car trips!
These are all cars I was going to buy anyway, or have been able to get access to. I do not buy cars or do things just for my channel, and cover things I am genuinely interested in. I have friends who question my car choices or rationale, and others interested in other activities so I thought I'd start documenting it for those who might be interested!
I'm still quite new to all this, so please bear with me, I welcome your feedback and I will hopefully get more confident and get some better footage and some more interesting cars too!

PODCAST / Episode #2 with Matt- What to do about Vauxhall? - Audio Only
Welcome to the second episode of the podcast! In this extended episode, i have a guest, in the form of fellow car enthusiast and carmanick regular - Matt.
IN this episode i share a bit of car news, an update on the carmanick fleet (or car sanctuary!) and my main topic which is Vauxhall, why we should celebrate it, but also why it might need a revolution...
I'll look to invest in a proper microphone for the next one!

Big thankyou to Matt Bearman for the incredible drone footage. The drone control is so impressive, and I can't believe how well the footage came out. This drone was also home made! The aerial footage gives such a great appreciation of the track layout. Somehow, the opening talk is out of sync. Not sure how, as they audio was never separated, so appears to be an issue with my editing software. H...

Twingo, geo metro, and a micra walk into a bar...
Well, actually they drove into it. And nobody was hurt.
Too bad I'd have to wait another 10-15 years to import one into usa
@@CRAPO2011 maybe not that long, the C6 was launched in 2005 so it's 20 years old today (mine is a 2008), the threshold is 25 years for the US isn't it?
toot!
They should of made awd models of these...
@seppomontaalasmaaman1339 it'd need a bit more power then, it was already quite heavy. Citroen did a prototype with the 3.0 V6 from the Citroen C5 (with 207hp) but it couldn't pass crash requirements with the big engine. The car is in the Citroen museum. (I have done a video on this!). Thanks for watching and commenting
Beautiful car. Unique. Extremely comfortable, feels like it's floating.
What an absolute beauty.
:)
you swallowed all your words when you stated what the engine was and all I heard was Peugeot
@@blueskye7962 the engine was also used in the Clio V6, Alpine A310/A610 and various Renaults. So it saw more vehicles (and more exciting applications) than Peugeot!
Yes, my clutch lasts longer than 30 k unlike our 2 Citroen vans...
✨
Thanks buudy! You never said if you liked it.
Fair point! Yeah it's actually a great car.you can't go wrong with a golf, yet it offers everything a Golf does but with a big boot, loads of legroom and some extra practical touches. It's not quite as practical as my old Scenic, but if you want a no-brainer car with some extra space, you can't go wrong. It doesn't have much personality but it has been very reliable, frugal, practical and good to drive over the last 38000 miles!
Are you considering one?
Absolutely! @@carmanick
wonderful buddy
Como muevo el asiento si no tiene batería?
Hi, that is a challenge. If the battery is flat, i think the only thing to do is get a battery pack or jump leads on the connection point under the bonnet (positive is under the red cover by left headlight). This should give you power to move the seat back.
Pase corriente desde las terminales que tiene situadas en El costado del LADO del.conductor, a UN costado la Bahia del motor.
I have same car😮😂
Why the ridiculous ai listing of features?
I’ve got a 04 Crossifre last week, every teen I meet is asking what’s it😂😂😂 It’s a great cruiser on the US freeway
It's such a cool distinctive car, glad you get attention! Did the crossfire sell well in the USA? It does cruise so nicely, the engine is so smooth and torquey. I no longer have mine but I miss it a lot. It was great fun to drive
Can a bad hub bearing cause light for indirect
@@riotbo have you got an abs light or tyre pressure light on? I wouldn't think a hub bearing would affect it really. It will be noisy but the only way it would cause an issue if it was causing the wheel to rotate at a different speed which it couldn't do

@@niilopalo102 haha well you should like my channel then, as I own an Avantime, Vel Satis, C6 and a C4 coupe VTS! I've got various videos but hoping to do some new content when I get the time! 308 is a nice car, what generation do you have? I've never actually owned a Peugeot !
What an interesting car!
The reason for this cars failure is I fear...Automobiles to a great extent has gone beyond human common senses...and early 2000s was a crux for that.. It would have been a great success if it was launched either 10 years back or today...if you call it ugly ,just see what Elon musk is doing.
@@pramodhb6796 I think a lot of it is branding, it was a rather expensive Renault, it was a bit quirky looking and in this segment rwd and a saloon bodystyle was the norm, which suggested expense! But I feel this was a unique offering, similar to my C6, which are both different cars but share the lack of success or appreciation! Thanks for watching and commenting
Vel Satis and Safrane were the best ones from Renault imo
The car was way ahead of it's time, what a lovely car
Trunk Looks like Volkswagen
I remember seeing the very odd Citroen C6 on the road. It looked superb, there was nothing else like it. Great to see all the details.

How much fuel this car use for driving? 8? 10? Liters?
@@jackdaniels5489 hi, so my car is a 2.7 V6 diesel. Day to day I get about 34 mpg which is about 7l/100km.
Such an amazing car
@@Murlock2000 I agree :)
front bumper have difference color
@@Aif29 I can see why you'd say that after watching the video again but it definitely isn't in real life. Must be the lighting / dirt?
the bumper is made out of plastic and the fender is metal , thats why they are a "different color"
@@Barbarosanebunu @Djvimp10 I know but this shouldn't happen, I had a 2021 Citroën berlingo and now a 2024 Peugeot expert for work and there is a demarcation between bumper and wing but both ar plastic, they didn't solve the problem. I can't imagine the real customer who receives his car with this problem.

Some videos over on my channel including collection caper from the port, MOT day which was the first UK drive, and some service and repairs I've done. Next shows are Haynes Breakfast - French day on 6th October, then French Day at Oulton Park Circuit 12th October.
@@Channel205UK it's a very interesting car, and your comment to bringing it over is amazing. Great to spread awareness of different cars, and this represents also the type of car that is popular in South America / Brazil (I guess the fiat and vw models are more popular). I will check out your content! I'm hoping to be at oulton park once I work out which french car to take!
I never realised the glass on rear lifts up with the boot the way it does!
Yeah the tailgate is pretty wild, wrap around. It's actually sheet moulded plastic (so really light), which was pretty advanced at the time . Many cars have plastic/SMC tailgates now
Great video, loving the Avantime and also love the wee models of the car too!

Great video, I am a fan of these Aygo X cars
Muy bueno
use external mic next time. lots of shit noise 😵. Your complain that it does not have future shit what that years vw have is silly. It feels different in a good way when swaping from german car that is the verdict.
@@LBerniusthanks for watching. this was a long time ago now and I worked with my GoPro which clearer wasn't great. I was just comparing it to similar cars of the year, it's an amazing car but for those that aren't familiar with them, they might find it a bit old fashioned in places. My french cars (which are slightly older) are a bit more advanced in terms of some tech, but nowhere near as exciting as this legacy, which has to be one of suabeus best ever cars, definitely compared to the new stuff!
Good video, I was hoping you'd show that the compressor for suspension can be used to inflate the tires, the connector for the hose is under front seat.
@@thedevhow thankyou! To be honest I'm not sure I knew that! That's brilliant.
Fantastic GT cars these. I love mine, 05 manual and with 130k on the clock its a pure toy. Not my daily. These do get a lot of hate as they look different with the art deco styling. They stand out and people have trouble with things different from the norm. A bit like my love of the band Devo. You cannot compare them to anything else and people are mostly frightened of things that do not conform. I always think to myself "great. You are triggered. That makes me love them even more". Who wants to blend into the crowd?
Are you introducing my vehicle or activating a feature of it with the action you take?
