Novices don't realize that helicopters have a VERY STRONG MIND OF THEIR OWN! They are NOWHERE NEAR as easy as fixed wing planes. That's why it is imperative that a pilot first gets some experience on a cheap and indestructible V-911, or even better, a sim. You CAN'T successfully fly an rc heli on the first try. Even if you should get it off the ground, in the air it is even harder to keep under control, it will just run away on you in all possible directions.

All these comments saying this guy just went out and bought a "huge toy" with no experience... Did any of you actually research before making that statement? Seems to have several flight videos. Pilot error, most likely. But to just pull this guys card without proof just shows your education level and ignorance. I guess all of you experts flew simulators for 30 years and now flawless professionals😂... Man... To hide behind a keyboard....and more than half of you experts have ZERO flight videos on your pages 😂😂😂

Oh, the humanity. All those saying it was pilot error, somehow I don't think so, no one is going to start their RC heli flying career on something as specialised as this. It's more likely that there was something wrong with the model. That being said, maybe he should have shutdown and investigated after I tried to lift off a couple of times, when it was obvious it wasn't lifting properly.

I've honestly thought he was going to hit a tree, or something, but that's not cool. You need to learn with the smaller cheaper ones first. Evan if the pilot has the money to throw away, that's not good.

I gave this hobby up, because of the constant need for spare parts due to my flying "skills", it became too expensive. Well, at least i got it in the air multiple times, costing €100+ in spare parts every time. There seemed something wrong with this one, the blade balance looked bad.

Too bad but looks fixable. Looked like the CG was off. The takeoff with the boom strike should have been the hint to stop and check everything a few times before flying again.

As a new poser to the hobby, my sentiments. Though as I suspected for myself, i enjoy building and repairing my planes, even more than I do flying them, that is at this point in my hobby experience.
