Teach us the ways!
It's the Romani gypsy witchcraft.
He ain't even doin it right 😂😂
How is it supposed to be done ?
I thought this only worked with metal
A green stick in a y shape.
It's water
And surprisingly it dies work.
You’d have to have downs to believe in dowsing
At this point maybe take a skill saw set the depth to cut siding only and run it with 1 1/2" side along roof then it will be easier to shove flashing in but yes flashing should always go over shingles. But pay no mind to I'm just a custom stair builder and would get hurt if I go up there
Its about 20ft up.
@AndrewOborny yes now I know I would fall but we both know the flashing goes behind siding and over roof and there's no room to slide it under like it is. Or just walk away and say, not my yob
@@jebronlames7789 i have no idea what it looked like with the shingles torn off. Im sure there was enough room the sub-crew mostlikely didnt want to do it correctly.
@@jebronlames7789 like you said they should have cut the siding and redo the metal flashing if there wasnt enough room.
@AndrewOborny the only way to make it right is do it right. In 1874 my dad told me it takes less time to do it right than have to do it over.
Because you use garbage varnish use duraseal
Wtf are you staining it for? Just scrap it and sand, how long have you been doing it for?
after vou lift post what keeps it up
Pour concrete footing
sodium hydroxide doesn't react with plastics or most metals. it does turn fat into soap and the fat build up on a rusted out pipe that is preventing it from leaking will be removed. it's a common myth that all drain cleaners cause pipe damage. muriatic acid will eat iron slowly and the intense heat can cause damage to plastic pipes. it's the only one that is a problem
For barn shifting, to replace posts what’s the best way. Prefer to not do posts into dirt again
Pour a footing under it
What kind of jack is that?
Simplex RJ84A Steel Mechanical Ratchet Jack, 5 Ton Capacity with 7" Stroke a.co/d/7ZrN8Y8 this isnt the exact one but very similar
Какую категорию прав надо на этом трактор?
What part of the country? We need 4' deep here in Iowa
Nebraska.
@@AndrewOborny So its a frost protected shallow foundation that will have insulation board skirting on the outside to prevent frost heave?
@@MrRerod no the footing is about 3ft. Deep. We have poured lots of concrete sheds and garages on monolithic slabs with 12in footing on the edge and nothing is really effected by the frost.
no need rebar?
No rebar?
There is rebar in the footings. It was poured 7+inches. And we add wedges to the side of the forms on the splices, so that they lock and cant shift.
What a terrible video
I'm guessing this was one of those barns far too gone to be worth repairing.
Just haven't had time to continue the project
Price Kaya Hai
Not useful.
That lifting method is excellent. I was gifted one of those railroad jacks and I think this is going to help me lift my 100 year old House up. Thank you.
They are hard to come by. Usually find them on estate auctions or online auctions
nice
Um um um.... can you say a sentence without saying um ? Uh and um
Yes. If you dont like it you dont have to watch.
It was painful
Just wondering. How wide are the footings? Thanks for posting this video.
Nice👍
Nice technique.
What did you do to fix those rotted posts in the end?
screws in sheer?
Noticed that too, would have definitely used nails instead of screws.
love that jack!
Careful with using screws to attach 2x4s to beam to jack something. Mine sheared off and came close to wacking a dude. Screws are garbage these days.
I have old barn and the whole barn is sinking into ground most the front it’s down maybe a foot and a half.
Nice!
Thanks!
Nice progress!
Thank you! Im working on getting more videos edited. They will be here soon!
I am about to do this to a big garage on my property. Already dirt floor. Need plumbing n electric hooked up. B watching...
Nice
Wow thank you! I need to lift a post and straighten the two rocks that are slipping away! Thanks again!

It’s crazy how our channels have evolved in the similar way. I started with the financial independence videos but actually prefer telling the stories of what I’m physically doing, so post that instead. Great work on your barn. I’ve got a few posts to jack up too
