Nice one Digger.
Horse cart reins guide. 👍🏻
No gold but there's always next time.Cheers Slim.
Heya Gaz…too right mate! Hot onto the hold in a little place called Cue, unfortunately could not take any footage on the lease! Got 11 bit for just over 3 grams. Cheers Slim
With only one nut. Your definitely not nuts m8. Keep at it. That yellow is out there.
You never can tell, Slim, when you dig a target. I had a couple of hours on the beach this past week and got an earring, a toy car and two lead sinkers!
Heya Nath The staple was a bit of a pun! The true staple is a lot of work for little reward. Much the same as on the beach with your experience. But, they are the things that keep you going until you get a bucket lister! Cheers Slim
Gadzee sent me great channel 🦘⛏️👍
Heya Peter, Love Gadzee’s channel mate. He inspires me and makes me laugh! Thanks for tuning in mate! Cheers Slim
Just have to stick with it and some gold will eventually come your way- hopefully. Cheers Slim.👍
Heya Gaz…very hardworking indeed! Cheers Slim
Slim, at least you know that the 6000 is working properly. But my philosophy still holds true - there’s a lot of Australia mixed with the yellow metal.
Heya Nath Absolutely mate! Even the leaseholder would agree, that’s why he was ok to let us on! He knows how hard it is to find the gold. Thanks for watching mate! Cheers Sljm
I enjoy watching you and Digga, Kieran from Sunstate Metal Detecting and Andrew, the Coffee Bush Kid. I got out yesterday, just in a park, and got plenty of rubbish and $5.70 in coins. No pre decimals.
Mate that would be enuff for a coffee….WINNER!
Some nice old silvers amongst the pre decimals there Digga.Well done .Cheers mate.👍
Thanks Gary - hunts have been a bit scarce this year, especially with Slim going walkabout!!
Judging by your TID’s it sounds like you’re using the mighty Manticore.
Nope Nathaniel - 'Nox 900. They are very similar TIDs, judging from comparison with Slim's beloved Manti.
I did notice the coil is very similar to my M11 coil, though. Thanks for the reply. I’m just back waving the Manticore after a 3 months layoff for health reasons. It’s great to be back out there.
Great finds well done 👍
Thanks Clarkey . . . . . will be going back, that's for sure.
A good day out Digga.
Thanks Paul - always nice to get a few!!
Great finds and great video, love the old silvers 👍
Thanks Clarkey - don't mind an old silver myself!!!
Absolutely loved it mate! Dang I wish I could have been there with you! Cheers Slim
Yeah, well . . . . . . it's not quite as much fun on my own.
A good day out mate.
Thanks Paul - was a good day. Always cool when the research pays off.
Well done mate. You deserve it 👏 😊
Heya Dragan….yhanks mate! It’s been areal learning curve! Had a great day in a place called Cue W.A. I managed to get 3 grams unfortunately no episode for that hunt! Cheers Slim
Love the fact you use the 900, I’ve got one and most channels show the manticore or the 800, cheers.
Yeah Rob, it was a bargain I couldn't pass up. Slim was trying to talk me into the Manticore (still is), but so far I am not convinced. I'd loved the 800, so now I have 2 quality machines. I do think the 900 is better than the 800, but the signals aren't as clean, maybe due to the 100-point scale as opposed to 40. Thanks for watching!!
Impressive video, Slim Diggins. Looking forward to your next upload from you. I tapped that thumbs up icon on your content. Keep up the fantastic work! Your insights on the gear needed for metal detecting in remote areas were really useful. What strategies do you recommend for maximizing finds in locations that have been heavily searched before?
Heya Keyser, Thank you kindly for your support mate! This trip for me is one of discovery as well, and I like to pass things on. Hmm what strategies do I recommend for maximising finds in locations that have been heavily searched before? Not sure of your location Keyser! However on this trip in West Australia I would recommend the following: Common sense should always prevail, safety first! Obtain all the info you can on the location-factually and anecdotally as well - by this I mean research and talk to people they are often helpful. In Australia especially WA obtain the App Trilobite, then educate yourself on how to use it. This app has a lot of downloadable info that will give you a read on the location you are looking at, ie reef direction and faults in the reef lines, the type of rock in the location. Also you can plot your route to the location and mark the spot where you may want to dig. It also has satellite imagery of the tracks you may need to use to get to your spot. This App will track you there and can show you the way out again. Very important if you don’t know the location well! When using this App you have to refresh it each morning as the “Pending” tenements can change daily. Also when using the App out in the field switch you phone to aeroplane mode. If you leave the App on continuously it will chew through your available data! Know your metal detector- I chose the GPX 6000 because I have some shoulder issues and it is light. Also I can get small and lager coil for it so I can change my approach with them should the need arise, ie small coil for tight detecting, big 17 inch coil for covering open flat ground. The 6000 is deadly on small pieces of metal, so go slow over the ground you are on, a lot of people are impatient and rush you might pick up gold they have missed. Keyser these are just some surly morning musings I hope they maybe helpful! Let me know if I’m on the right track! Cheers Slim
That's a great detecting spot Digga and congrats on the coins.Cheers.
Thanks Gary - I'm sure I will be back!!! It's always nice to find a new spot with some treasures below . . . .
Heya Digga that’s why you’re the G.o.A.T OG metal detecting o, maaaate!
Yeah . . . . . nah! We do find the odd cool find though . . . . . . .
Great silvers, great vid. How are you finding the age of the parks that you hunt in?
Hi Clarkey - in this instance I read a sign!!! Other than that it is standard research via Wikipedia or old newspapers which gives me a "this place was around X years ago".
Keep doing these gold videos , also like your intro music , nice aussie music.nice one slim
Heya Daniel, Thanks for your support mate! There’s a couple more in the pipeline for sure. Presently in WA but on the coast! Digga wrote and played the intro music, we both love it! Cheers Slim
You can only try and better luck next time.At least you had a day enjoying the great outdoors.Cheers mate.
Heya Gaz, Very true mate! It so very peaceful out in the bush. Good for the sole no doubt! Cheers Slim
Hey Slim have a good go around the tree's especially the cut down ones old stumps and branches are good also
Heya Tom, There’s not too much around that country, very scraggy low bush not too many tall trees, but sure always good to do the work other detectorist don’t won’t to do! Cheers Slim
Hey Slim, is that a hammer holder on your belt for your pick. That’s what I use.
Heya Nath, Will hold both mate and I now have both 😂! Cheers Slim
@@slimdiggins282 I saw where you detected the hammer. I've never found one of those. I did detect a pair of ice tongs, a few cold chisels, driver bits for cordless drills, pliers and side cutters, though, over the years.
@@detecting_Nathanael side benefits right!
Great too meet you guys at the whale shark experience amd after had an absolute blast hopefully we cross paths again in the nead future
Heya Meng, Great day all round mate. It truly was a blast to meet all you wonderful folk as well. How was the biggie the next morning?
@slimdiggins282 it was great mate a little dusty but the bumps on the way made the hangover go away
At last some gold Slim.Well done.
Heya Gaz…. Thanks mate very tough going indeed, but heaps of fun! Cheers Slim
I admire your persistence . . . . .
It is an odyssey after all ol’ mate!
Hey Slim found ya problem its the wrong colour scoop buy a green one everyone finds more gold with a green scoop 😉 Hi Mrs Slim
Heya Tom? I lost my black scoop so I decided to get a yellow one easier to find 😂. Went for a dig in a place a little further NW of Kalgoorlie, I got 3 grams, 10 small nuggies but the lease holder wanted no footage taken of the site. Would have made a cracking ep! Mrs Slim says hello! Cheers mate!
@@slimdiggins282 Good job 👍
Solid little nugget 🎉
Hays Greg, Fooled me too! Had a bit of ironstone connected to it as well. I won’t be chucking it back though! Cheers Slim
Gold!!!!!
Yeah mate!
The ol timers were everywhere and hungry lead shot means you’re detector is working
Heya Greg One hundred percent correct mate! Keeps you going, thinking that if someone has missed the headshot, they may have missed the nuggies as well! That’s why I keep swinging! Cheers Slim
Nice hammered Slim, but that's not what you want to find.More luck next time out perhaps.Cheers.
Heya Gaz. Had the heart racing for a bit though!
Slim, I can tell ya, there’s a lot of Australia mixed with it. I’ve also been out a few times in Queensland to hunt for it. Not much success, though. Two tiny nugs.
I visited Clermont last year hit a few nugs out as well!
I also used Tengraph.
Heya Nath, I visited the Mines office in West Kalgoorlie. They told me about tengraphs as well I signed up for as well mate. Still dang hard to find the gold thought! Cheers Slim
They were also the nicest people!
Hi Silm is the hammer a good brand at least, or is it a cheap one
Heya Tom, It was pink underneath all that red dirt. Perhaps a Bunnings hammer I think! Cheers Slim
If hammer was that deep, that area is wasting of time. It's harder and harder to find the gold these days but it's beautiful hobby 😊
Heya dragan, yes the hammer was truly that deep mate! The only conclusion I could come up with for it being there was pegging the lease! The dirt there had been pushed around a bit as well with a dozer! It truly is hard work finding the gold out there! But you gotta keep swinging right? Cheers Slim
Is that the 6000 your using slim? I think im going to get myself an sdc 2300!
Heya Eaione, yes mate that is a 6000! It’s a great machine especially if you’ve got dicke shoulders like me! Well worth spending the extra$$$ on mate! Cheers slim
Keep going fella’s , sorry to see you are finding the same crud as me whenever l go detecting.
Heya Alfred, Perseverance is the key maaaate! Thanks for watching and support! Cheers Slim
Good luck on the gold as you continue your WA adventure.Cheers.
Heya Gaz Got onto the yellow yesterday- 3 grams in total! Cheers mate!
Hey Slim my goodness you get around any cricket pitches over there that's where you find the goldies Tom
Heya Tom, Can’t let the grass grow onset my feet mate. Visited two cricket pitches at Sandstone WA . Man the bouncers there would be ferocious… hard as nails could not dig if I wanted to mate! Cheers Slim
What a peaceful place next time you go to kmart or look for a little plastic fold up stepping stool throw in the car you won't know it's there but it will take a lot of work out it cheers Slim
Yes mate the benders( knees) were giving me trouble after that for a while lol!
Lovely relaxing spot for some panning Slim.Cheers mate.
It was a glorious arvo Gaz! Cheers Slim
Hey Slim, I get 8 hours on average so your power seems to be draining somewhere. I might have a chat to someone Monday and see if they can shed any light on your problem - after all, if it happens to me down the track, I want to know how to fix it. Cheers Nath
👍
Boom let’s go let’s go treasure and adventure 🇺🇸✌️🎉❤️👵🌺🌎
Heya Grandmakelly, Thank you for watching and your support! Cheers Slim
I’ve got a jewellers loupe just like that one, except mine still has the lens in it.
Heya Dave, I’ve got a couple of loops as well. I collect stamps as a hobby mate! It sure did ring up nicely on the Manticore when I found it! Cheers Slim
A couple of weeks ago, I got a pair of ice tongs while out detecting. A first for me.
Heya Nath, That’s 🆒 😂
That power charger is interesting. I don’t seem to have any power supply problems with my Manticore and I use the 15 inch coil much more than the 11 inch.
Heya Nath, I’m lucky to get 5 hours mate. Hence the power pack…I may have to investigate to shut some functions turned off to see if that helps! Cheers Slim
Sweet
Mate, thanks for your reply. My comment was simply related to how nice the scenery is. So good that you blokes are out there picking up heaps of pre decimals. I got a post decimal coin spill of five coins a week ago.
Any coin spill is grouse mate! Cheers Slim
