A wet Easter Monday, but the volunteers were cheerful and the Easter Bunny Hunt seemed to be going down well with all the children.

At Spa Valley Diesel Gala on 3rd August the last train of the day from Eridge was formed of 3CIG Unit driven from its cab but powered from behind by GBRF 73136.

A lovely little little railway. Really good customer service and a very good museum. Highly recommended. Un petit chemin de fer charmant. Un très bon service à la clientèle et un très bon musée. Hautement recommandé.

Spa Valley Railway Eridge 20/04/2014

An hour at Eridge condensed into 3 minutes. This lovely country station opened in 1868. Eridge has trains to and from London Bridge and East Croydon via Oxted and onwards to Uckfield. The Spa Valley Railway reopened their line from Eridge to, Groombridge, High Rocks and Tunbridge Wells West on 25 March 2011. So the station now has Heritage and National Rail links. How is this unusual power? 73/1, 73/2 and 33/1 locomotives have operated with emus before in preservation and on the national network back in the day.

Cheers, As a member I think it's really important that the Bluebell does more of these events. Class 66s have run on the line during the extension project and it would be great to travel behind and video some of them on a special day.
Thanks for posting this. I was one of the '512' (in the minority as I drove to Sheffield Park). I took only a few stills, being content to soak up the atmosphere of this historic day, so am glad that others like you took these excellent videos.
