Purdue went 6-7 with a bowl loss but lost close games to Notre Dame and Ohio State..Alabama had lucky wins over LSU and Georgia in 2012..The Buckeyes went 12-0 but had a bowl ban..Notre Dame went 12-0 but got bashed in BCS Championship vs Alabama..PAC 12 teams (Oregon, Stanford) won BCS games..Louisville beat Florida State in the Sugar Bowl ⁉⬛✳🏟🏈📚

You really don't realize how much that season impacted you until you watch it 12 years later and it still gets you emotional.

Was a great year till Alabama got in the National title game without doing anything.

Its july 2017 and I still get teary eyed when watching this. I remember watching the game in the lounge of my barrack. A hand full of saints fans and vikings fans talking shit to each other the whole time. Towards the end of the game, a colts fan walked by and said this game doesn't matter cause the colts would win the superbowl. I replied to him that the 2 best times in the nfl were in this game and whoever wins this would win the superbowl. I didn't catch any shit from the vikings fans for the rest of the game after saying that. This game was the real superbowl and the game against the colts was just a formality.
