Damp in the back section for first half of race. Qualified on pole but ended up taking 2nd place out of 25 cars

3rd Place finish Cooper T-75 broke his oil pan at the 25 minute mark and laid lots of oil down from T2 till T11. Hand flailing was an attempt to signal the corner workers to throw debris flag and warn the field. New FV Track Record: 2:18.633 2nd Gear at the Chicane and serpentine might be the trick...........

Reading the comment before me so congrats on the win. I noticed your tires look like high perf street tires like Bridgestones or Yokohamas. You mind telling us what tire Formula Vee uses?
This is the www.driverzcup.com series. We use the yokohama ao52. They’re fantastic
@@MikeLawrenceRacingyes they are. I ran a street tire class and just recently tried a set. They're stickier than the old BF Goodrich TA R1's street legal racing tires I use to run in the '90's. THE tire for street tire classes right now.

Track limits!
While I don't think there was some big abuse of track limits, with these cars you're losing time if anything doing so.

Thanks Brian! Yes going to runoffs this year. Likely just another local majors race to qualify. Wish I could do both those races you mentioned but hard to choose between cup tires, vintage and slicks races.

@@JB91710 we have a beautiful d13s that we are going to list for sale here shortly. We just restored the car. Definitely a faster chassis than a regular d13. Plus looks better!

@@Darklor_WCFAnd German anthem before it. Nearly every championship since 2000 has been won by either a German driver or a German constructor. That's a lot of listening to the German anthem. A lot of people have developed a strong aversion to it from hearing it so much in the Schumacher and Vettel days.
Yikes with #72 at 14:54 ! Did he crowd you in? Hard to determine who was in the right there - and lost your nose looks like - but at least you could continue the race!

I'm impressed by how respectful the racing is here. You see so much in amateur/lower class racing that people think they are the next Max Verstappen. Formula Vee is such a cool category. Good racing!

A very interesting video, thanks for uploading it. I don't know anything about car racing, much less formula vee, but it seemed like whoever led into turn 9 on the last lap was precluded from winning. Is that why you were shaking your head? If that is the case, it's hard to understand how the racecraft works. Roebling road is a flowing, sweepy course, are other courses not taken in top gear the whole way around in a formula Vee? I enjoyed watching, great race, and video!

Oh yes. Whole field is getting quick and it’s awesome to see!!! Driverz/challenge cup races have been the most fun vee racing I’ve experienced. Big ole draft packs from the wide tires.
Looks like the FR brake hose is rubbing on a suspension arm when turning L/R
Racing in cars made of paper without any safety near poles trees side walks and walls its very brave or stupid u choose.
You nailed it, I look at that footage and see light poles and tree trunks whizzing by and that race is one accident away from being gone. I raced in a lot of Grand Prix style kart races in the Midwest and most of them don't exist anymore because insurance rates of skyrocketed... And our courses were lined and hay baled WAY better than what is shown here.
Love the picturesque track with the many trees--it appears--you can drive straight into if things go horribly wrong. 😵

Thanks for sharing this. I'm 57 and bored out of my mind and trying to figure out what to do. This has given me a direction to have some fun with. Win or lose as long as I don't cause someone else to crash.get hurt or myself it looks like a blast.

We raced on road courses here in California in the 60's , (SCCA) but the insurance became to high so racing became tracks only..

I've never had any luck at all communicating with the corner workers from the car. I've tried to indicate a variety of things to them over the years and none have ever seen my gestures. I think it is because they are generally focusing down-track instead of up-track.
