Royal Hospital School Organ
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 14 ก.พ. 2015
The Grand Organ of the Royal Hospital School Chapel, Holbrook, Suffolk was built in 1933 by the British firm of Hill, Norman & Beard. The British Institute of Organ Studies has given the instrument a Grade 1 Historic Organ Certificate. Unlike many of its contemporaries, the organ has stayed true to its original design and voicing. The stop list can be seen here: www.npor.org.uk/NPORView.html?RI=N00981
Frequent concerts in chapel feature both HNB organs, and more information can be found at: www.royalhospitalschool.org/school-life/co-curricular-activities-and-enrichment/music

Wonderfully spirited, musical performance. Astonishing acoustic for this really magnificent organ.
You need to go and hear this superb organ to believe it - it's massive!
A most wonderful instrument and a very talented organist.
Fabulous!
Andrew, this really is wonderful. Masterful playing, and the HNB sounds incredible - fantastic reg! Thank you - and I hope our paths cross again soon.
Thanks! Excellent
Excellent - thanks!
Thank you! Super performance & so nice to hear the organ mic-ed close enough to hear real detail - some lovely voices in there. Cheers!
Brilliant playing of one of my favourite pieces. Superb! Thank you :)
Fine organist and wonderful choirmaster. One of the reasons I continued my musical interests into adulthood. Great performance.
Nice to see you Luke! Thanks for checking in.
that piano is out of tune bad!
Its not a piano dufuss! Its also spot on when it goes into the minor key. I was lucky enough to spend five years at the school and hear that wonderful organ on a daily basis. My boarding house was only 75 metres away.
HEY YOU STUPID IDIOT I KNOW IT'S NOT A PIANO, YOU FELL FOR IT!! YOU STUCK SNOB !!!
so is your attitude
Nice......Its the last chord which really makes the work
This is beautifully done. Wow. What a nice instrument. Skillfully and festively played.
Gr8 playing, gr8 video quality
Brilliant bravura playing and wonderful music making! Bravo Drew!!
What is the piece performed from 1:10 onwards?
It's the 'play through' for the hymn Fight the Good Fight before they sing the first verse.
Thank you; wonderful video!
Lovely reeds and a wonderful acoustic in that chapel. Lucky boys to be able to play and hear this every day.
lovely full, round and velvety is this trumpet... I wish I had one like it on my organ, to complete the french full but sharp trumpets..
Absolutely brilliantly played! I think I enjoyed the music almost as much as you seemed to enjoy rendering it, Andrew!
Many thanks, Glenn!
I still Andrew does and did a outstanding performance. I've proud to listen him and his ORGAN performance Stop complaining and finding fault. Just enjoy Andrews music. Amen!!!!
lively playing and a magnificent sounding pipe organ with guts
steve bournias That's Hill Norman and Beard organs for you. Norwich Cathedral is another beautiful example of their work.
This organ is very reminiscent of the great E. M. Skinner organs in the USA
