Do you have any recommendations for festivals that don't allow fires or propane heating units/grills? I need about 3,000 calories per day (resting), so I was planning on buying a bunch of those camping meals in a bag where all you need to do is add boiling water, but of course I can't boil any water if I can't bring my little propane grill unit! So there goes the most convenient option. Second option of course would be to meal prep everything into tupperware containers, but of course when I'm faded at 11pm and need some calories, I don't really want to have to eat a cold prepared meal. I eat a mostly carnivore diet so this is a pretty massive deal considering the festival I'm going to is 3 days and my diet is so restrictive.

Im 57 and went to bonaroo with my son ,slept in my truck the first time ,slept in a hotel the second time. But this time I have all my gear and I am gonna try the 4-5 days .It cant be any worse then the field in Korea with 2nd ID.

Thank you, this was so helpful. My bf is a festival pro and he will take me to my first festival next year so I have been watching vids. He has explained a lot to me and answered all my questions but I'm a creature of comfort so super nervous! LOL

we usually do goulash at our festivals, if they allow a gas burner, and most to. its the best thing ever, works great with pickles, you never had a better hungover food in the morning, or one before to beep the hungover from coming. but we usually do it on the 2nd day. its like this but we use a gas stove burner. if we go in the wilds we actually do it like this since the flavour is better from wood, its traditional cooking for over 600 years in the area... th-cam.com/video/KMWdi4VUOdk/w-d-xo.html

how do you handle your gear not overheating, my dji poket died a lot from overheat, and also people not stealing your stuff?

why not use a headlamp? i have 3 oh them that i bought and upgrade, i still use all 3.

Today everything is 5V power, and i mean everything, even laptops, and i bring my laptop sometime to festival, just get a 5V small solar panel, which you can use for hocking too, and use it to charge a powerbank, gety to heavy duty power banks and one charger during the day one you use that day and cycle them. power problem solved. vor cooling i learned something really good and cheap, get 2 insulated frigo bags, like the ones you buy at grocery stores, put 1 inside the other, and put 2 2 liter bottles of water frozen in them, and then add in what you need. after 3 days it was still warm, and you can drink that water too. the only problem is with drinking water, but i never go somewhere that isn't far away from a water source. so i just go and refill there.

You can't dress like us unless you do it everyday take your earrings out you had a good time but not US!!! I know because ,,Unless you got a double life!?

when i first went to forest in 2012 and 2013 i could only afford my ticket, my party goods, and a little food. now i have adult money and I AM GOING ON THAT FERRIS WHEEL THIS YEAR!!!!!!!

I've been going to concerts for 10+ years (mostly rock & metal shows until recently; I'm in my early 30s now) but just recently been dipping into edm shows & festivals. I've been to many concerts alone but haven't attended any festivals by myself & feel nervous about it What's your advice on going to a camping festival alone for the first time? I want to go Lost Lands this year but I can't find any friends who wants to go with me & it feels like a huge step flying over to a different state and camp & attend the festival alone... I'm a bit socially awkward & don't really know where to start on making new friends & become a part of a rave fam... 😢

Last weekend was my first festival. There's no such thing as being "over prepared" but it will 100% suck if you don't come prepared.

Rewatching all my saved EF vlogs to get hyped for this year and I have to tell you these vlogs are the BEST EF vlogs on TH-cam. I love all the stuff you chose to inlcude and i love your editing and throwing it to the map. 💋🤌

My mother always packs half of the kitchen when we go out camping; no matter where we are. Just this past camping trip. She had a full steak potato dinner with either macaroni salad or coleslaw the first night we were there,the next morning we usually get Diner style hashbrowns from the leftover potatoes from dinner; with scrambled eggs & sourdough thats been toasted over the fire. Then we had a sourdough grilled cheese with the leftover steak pieces we had going into it,with the 2 types of cheese we brought for the grilled cheeses. & That was just for day one, for day two She brought eggs,Milk & Pancake mix & bacon with mushrooms and Sourdough toasted in bacon grease for breakfast. She has some seriously, Wild Menus for when we go out camping & I love being outdoors being able to cook on my cast-iron over an open flame. She may go out there with the kitchen sink but as long as I've got butter, mushrooms, mushroom soup, ground beef, a box of turkey stove top stuffing and my handy Salt & Pepper I have got you a hearty kick ass meal that will feed at least 4-6 people & it makes for great leftovers too.

Well, the first tip is don’t go. It’s actually miserable imagine being in traffic for like two hours just to get to the event. Imagine waiting in a line to take a shower for one hour. Imagine just waiting in a line for for a half an hour to go to the bathroom and then for this is you get to be outside standing up only and listening to music for the most part from band that you don’t even like I forgot don’t don’t forget you have to pay $1000 for a hotel and of course you have to pay for the band at the concert and give up a weekend for your life

A six person tent for one person is too big for most festivals and only means that other campers have less space Sorry for being a Negative Nathan but that was incredibly triggering for me
