      @neilscaturchio5434 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey mate, yeah I don't use the dividers Uber sent with the bag, but I use a big square one I have from an old bag from Packir. I keep it in the bottpm of the bag, but rarely use it, so can get away with not having one really. I also have a towel (70x140) in there as well which helps stop things moving around, and on the rare occasion something spills, it soaks it up and stops the bag getting too dirty. I wash the towel after every shift regardless whether it gets dirty or not too. Still on my first Uber bag too - they're fantastic! I ordered and received a 2nd one a while ago.

      @neilscaturchio5434 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi Tony, yes it was filmed in my roughly 3m x 3m bedroom with my phone, so the zoom is always going to be a bit dicey, as there's limited room to move. I'm not overly worried about that, as most of my videos are more raw informational videos than carefully planned and prepared ones made to go super viral on the world stage. I put a bit more planning into my longer food delivery videos, and they're filmed with a GoPro Session, so come out a lot better than the quickly thrown together phone videos.

      hi LaPhonz, thanks for your question. I sometimes video pickups as they're in restaurants/public places, but never film dropoffs as Aussies can get quite upset about being filmed in their homes, hotels, etc, so I just don't. That side of things would mean more editing too and also using more camera battery.

      Thanks mate, I'm not really looking to make money or go big time off videos, just have a bit of fun and show people what the job's like, and also a bit of Sydney for those rom overseas. Do you know of software I could use to stabilise it? I use a helmet mounted GoPro, which is why the footage moves around a bit, as I'm always looking around so that I'm aware of my surroundings.

    • @streetikonzptyltd
      @streetikonzptyltd 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@neilscaturchio5434 you could try ReelSteady. You would also be better with a chest mounted GoPro rather than helmet-mounted. Check out youtuber John Hicks and his LA rides. A cheap lav mic to connect to your phone to record audio and then sync with the video in post is about $30.

    hows your ebike battery range?

    • @neilscaturchio5434
      @neilscaturchio5434 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Zenonimus, my bike has a 250w rear hub motor and is a pedal-assisted e-bike (Sunmono Folding). It has a 36v 11 amp hour battery, and I can usually ride around 80+klms on a charge because I turn it on and off as needed. If I'm in a not so hilly area (Waterloo/Alexandria for example) I hardly use the battery, whereas in the Eastern suburbs (Double Bay/Darlinghurst for example) I use it a fair bit. Time wise, the longest day I've done working is about 10-11 hours, but usually like to keep my shifts to 8-9 hours so I have some battery left to get home.

    More pure, raw Straya! I have some questions though, you've got what kind of bike? E-Bike, Manual, etc? What clothes do you wear while on the bike? Lycra? General clothes? How do you go so far, where should someone start in trying to get into going distances for food delivery so they're not dying by the first order?

    • @neilscaturchio5434
      @neilscaturchio5434 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Gazza, thanks for your questions mate As you can see in the first few frames of this video (and more extensively in one of my first videos), the bike I use for deliveries is a 2021 Sunmono Folding bike, which I bought from Move Bikes at Surry Hills - www.movebikes.com.au They're great guys to do deal with, I return there regularly to get my brakes done (which is pretty much the only thing I need to pay to have done, as I can confidently change the tyres.......the rear tyre though is a little bit more involved though due to the rear hub motor). It has 20 inch wheels with electric pedal assist, which means that when the battery is turned on, you pedal once or twice and then the pedal assist from the rear-hub motor kicks in (I really only use the electric pedal assist going up hills, so depending on the area I'm in, the terrain, etc, I can make it last around 10 hours, sometimes more). There are 5 stages of pedal assist, each giving you 5 klms/hr worth of assist, ie - level 1 assists you to 5 klm/hr, level 2 to 10 klm/hr, all the way up to 25klm/hr on level 5. There' also a throttle, but I don't use it. It also has 8 gears like a 'normal' bike. I mainly use pedal assist level 3 and standard gears 5 or 3 going up most hills. Extra steep hills I use level 4 or 5 and a higher standard gear. The clothes I wear are what you'd call general clothes - as you can see in this video at about the 24:25 mark when I'm filming in a lift. $5 Kmart t-shirt and some mountain biking shorts (with no interior padding - too uncomfortable) which I bought on Ebay for about $57 each from fdxsports2014 (search his store on ebay). I tried on a lycra shirt once a long time ago, and found it too tight and uncomfortable, so never again! haha as long as your clothing is clean & tidy, you'll be fine. I see a lot of guys delivering wearing full on jeans and jackets - what I call winter gear - on 30 degree days! Faaarrrkk! haha So far, I've been doing it for nearly 6 months, and love it. If you have a decent (note you don't need to be overly super-fit, I see some guys riding that I'm surprised that the bike doesn't collapse under them! hehe) level of physical fitness, you'll be fine, especially on an e-bike with pedal assistance like mine has. If you're worried about how long you can ride before getting tired, you can just log off (on Uber) or Pause the app (Doordash and Menulog) and either have a rest, or call it a day and go home whenever you want. If you want to test yourself, whack a few decent sized books in a backpack (say about 5kgs in total - most orders weigh a lot less than this - think of about 2-3 plastic takeaway food containers, or 2-3 pizza boxes, some orders a little bit more), and see how long and far you can ride. I first started doing shifts of a few hours at night and some days, then as I got into it more, started doing 8-10 hour shifts during the day, mainly from around 11am to 9 or 10pm at night. Note as well you'll wan to make sure your lights will last long enough while you're riding at night. It also helps to have a free heart and mind and a sense of adventure to go wherever you're required to go to deliver an order, within set areas depending on which app you're using. You can also decline orders if you think they're too far for you to go, or they might be a bit dangerous, etc. Shoot me an email - neilscaturchio@hotmail.com if you've got any more questions about getting into it, but I reckon you should definitely give it a go, you seem pretty keen. Note, you'll also need an ABN (if you haven't already) before starting. You may also need to register yourself for GST and fill in quarterly BAS forms (Business Activity Statements) if you intend to make over $75,000 in the tax year. I don't think I'll go anywhere near that, so haven't done that. Cheers, Neil
