Where is this ring located at the Ohio Ren fair? I go multiple times a year, and I've never seen this!
This is a new section of the fair, and its located near the back. for the 2024 fair they plan on building a new ring for us.
Interesting footage, never really thought about this. Maybe for bigger tournaments, an airhorn or something would be a good idea? I imagine it isn't easy hearing "stop fighting" through the helmets, and it would suck to be a little too late for something unarmored to get struck.
It's a little hard hearing in the helmets, thats what the stick is for. If you've got a big yellow flag or stick shoved in your face, it's a little easier to know when to stop. As for bigger stuff, sometimes things like airhorns are used
