*MAJOR INCIDENT MAKE PUMPS 40* LONDON FIRE BRIGADE RESPONSES TO FLAT FIRE IN DAGENHAM
40 fire engines and around 225 firefighters tackled a fire at a block of flats on Freshwater Road in Dagenham.
The whole of the building was affected by the fire, including scaffolding surrounding the property and the roof.
London Fire Commissioner Andy Roe said: “We were called to the incident at 0244 this morning.
“The first crew arrived within five minutes and the second crew arrived within six minutes. An aerial appliance also arrived in under six minutes. To allow us to focus our resources on the incident, we declared a major incident, which has now been stood down. I am immensely grateful to the crews and officers who have operated in the most dangerous conditions to both rescue people and bring the incident under control despite being faced with a significant building failure.
"The building has a number of fire safety issues known to London Fire Brigade. A full simultaneous evacuation of the building was immediately carried out and a significant search and rescue operation took place.
“I am pleased to confirm that everyone has been accounted for. More than 80 people were evacuated with firefighters leading residents out to safety and carrying out 20 rescues. This included using fire escape hoods, which can provide 15 minutes of clean, filtered air in smoke-filled environments, helping individuals stay safe until they can be rescued or reach safety. Four people were treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews, with two taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.
“The Brigade’s Control Officers took 16 calls to the fire, including successfully giving vital fire survival guidance to a number of people using our Fire Survival Guidance App, which allows information to be exchanged between Control and the incident ground in a timely, accurate and consistent manner. They are also to be commended for their calm professionalism as the building began to fail.
“We also used new equipment such as drones and our 64-metre and 32-metre turntable ladders to provide incident commanders with a vantage point for assessing the scene. They were also used as water towers to deliver water on to the fire from above.
“The Brigade stood up full strategic arrangements to deal with the incident and a rest centre has been set up at Becontree Heath Leisure Centre. London Fire Brigade officers and members of our dedicated community support team are stationed at the rest centre to support residents alongside partners. Crews will also remain on scene into tomorrow carrying out further operations.
“We have commenced a full and detailed investigation into the cause of this fire, and we are working closely with police colleagues. However, due to the extensive damage to the building with parts of it now being declared unsafe, access may be limited. This will be a protracted investigation and our fire investigation and fire safety officers are likely to be on scene for several days. We know there will undoubtedly be concerns around potential fire safety issues, and this investigation will be a priority for our officers over the coming weeks.
“Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected and we will remain present in the local community throughout the coming days to provide support where needed.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank our crews, Control Officers, fire safety officers and support staff who worked incredibly hard to resolve the incident and to ensure everyone was safe. I would also like to thank our partners for their support.”
The Brigade was called at 0244 and the fire was under control by 1113. Fire crews from Dagenham, Ilford, Romford, Barking and surrounding fire stations attended the scene. The major incident was stood down at 1103.

Great video ,Harold Hill having their once a fortnight outing 🤣
40 pumps and four TLs, and it still took an eternity to put out the flames. The UK’s consistently worst performing fire service demonstrating exactly why that’s the case.
What are the MAN Lutons?
The 64m aerials were paid for by London freemasons because Asset Co the private company that manages LFB refused to purchase them because it would eat into their profits. The same company who extorted the Home Office twice to increase their fees by threatening bankruptcy. The same company who closed stations, drastically reduced fire cover, ran pumps on for years past their serviceable life, those same pumps were so dilapidated that they often broke down within hours of leaving the workshops. Shareholders dividends should not come before public safety.
Private equity should have no role in dictating tax funded public safety organisations. But then again, looking at who the mayor is, having it managed by local government would have the same result.
The Freemasons only bought two of the three 64m ALPs.
John - Freemasons bought two of the three 64m TLs. Also, AssetCo had nothing to do with these 64m TLs as they stopped managing LFBs fleet well over 10 years ago. Private companies also have no say over station closures and removal of appliances - that was all down to the mayor and LFB brass.
Great work Harry!!
The only time you see them traveling at that speed is not to protect the public its to protect one of there own ☝

Nice one 👌🏻
did a house get on fire? 💖
fantastic teslas, police fleet of BMW X6 SUVs - are ambulance services run by the NHS? 💖
The first is LFB
Great video mate
Would be helpful if you put at the start of the videos the date of the incident
Really don't know why the police are there as they just seem to be standing around doing nothing.
Great video mate
Thanks
is this to that fire in central London summer set house ?
Doubt it is way too east but I’m sure the poster will confirm
No it’s not these was going to Launders Lane in East London
Great video!
Thanks!
You you taki.g yhe mick the coppers didnt shut the road down the amount of traffict slowing down the LFB and LAS its bollocks
Sorry but what the fogging on the camera that kept coming and going? Spoilt the picture
Most of these would probably because of all the Riots.
But these are all most likely for a riot threat or a protest
You should of been in Croydon yesterday because territorial support police and police vans with barricades were there due to a protest and a riot threat
Nice one 👍🏻
Looks like minimal equipment on the trucks
That new command u it’s pretty cool!
Fantastic work harry😊
Great video 👍👍👍
It must be nice to have the resources to achieve that make up I doubt many county brigades would make it a 15 pump shout. I have to ask the question was there no loft seperation ? it must have been a rapid spread to involve a whole terrace.
Agreed. One of my work mates is a retained fire fighter in Devon. On Tuesday they were the only pump on the run in the whole area 🙏
@@ChristopherReeve-g7mand I’ve got family retained in Somerset which is the same fire and rescue service and they were the only pump on in the area to cover the area of 4 other stations and they only have one pump and one rescue tender
Nice sirens 😊😊😊😊
Great work Harry!!
Nice one 👍🏻

Nice catches

Nice catch
The state of that traffic control is crazy
London fire engines are totally rubbish poor blue lights old looking Mercedes sorry don't like them
Nice one
Harry Emergency_Vids you spelt tesla wrong
Great video mate
Quite 🎑 0:01
Thanks mate
First off... the state of that road... holy shit. Second... what the hell were the police doing there because it certainly was not even remotely approaching effective traffic control. Also... how many officers does it take to put out that fire which by all accounts wasnt even that big?
Have you seen Hampshire any more?
Great video. Nice to see so many emergency vehicles at work.
31 Fire Trucks/Cars, 6 Police, and 3 Ambulances. There seemed to be more fire cars than trucks 😂😂.
Biggest fire I ever attended was make pumps 40, and it took 3 days to put the fire out and we also had help from the USAF as well in total 66 fire crews eventually were on the fire ground with over 44 firefighters taken to hospital.
That's insane, where was it ?
