I always go with the thorium bridge and empyrean neck. That’s what I got for my 9 string build first so I bought the same set for my 6 string and it’s just filthy in the best way possible when you want just bone crushing tone in the lower registers. The empyrean neck is ridiculously nice to even out the tone with leads. To be honest, I think the empyrean neck will go best with all of them. Still want to try the illusionist but haven’t gotten around to it quite yet.

I bought a second hand one in the mid 90's for roughly 600 euros - I can't even remember if we were using Euros back then😊 It was a 1991 model and had a few chips here and there but I got some great tones also when I used my wah pedal for soloing. Also the pickups are versatile and you can use so many positions.

I love the lithiums in my Kiesel DCM7, but man the thoriums sound way better overall in this video. Way more balanced.

This is the best sounding demo you've ever done. The tone is outstanding. I've used JBs and I know the Thrash Factor is a tweaked JB, but it sounds so good I may end up throwing one in my strat. Great demo!

How far from them is Super Distortion? It was released In 1970.. can it still hold modern high gain sounds?

I have a Holdsworth 'Fatboy'(sadly, no longer being made) which I got in late 2015, and I think it came with jumbo stainless frets by default. I won't get anything else now.

Looking at the Kiesel site, and the difference in the supposed EQ on them, I expected the difference to be more dramatic. They sound pretty similar to me, the Thorium is a little more 'chunky', but both sound good. That might just be the player, though ;)

Thorium sounds good. Would you mind doing a clean comparison? Only if you want to. I currently don't like the tone of kiesel VM7 clean lithium neck and bridge pick up.

Lithium would be more versatile and a more pleasing tone for the kind of music I like Edit: superb comparison and sound quality!

Did not really dig that thorium tone, Lithium sounded good to me? different strokes i guess.

Never tried a 6 string thorium, but I did not like the 7 string version. Replaced it with an Instrumental SFTY4 and much happier. I like the lithiums in my 6 strings just fine but never tried them in a 7

I'll never understand why people buy kiesels with the most boring and bland options. Kiesels make amazing looking guitars yet i see people buying lime green garbage then it ends up on reverb for sale lol
