Cruella De Ville - I'll Do The Talking / Hollywood Hong Kong Swing / Oceans / Gypsy Girl / Blues
Sorry it's only a camera recording of a needle drop on a basic record player. Fancied hearing these songs again but my hi-fi equipment is in storage so this was the best I could do for now. You will just have to imagine you are hearing it on a transistor radio.
Cruella De Ville was a band from Northern Ireland that presented a mixture of post-punk and gothic rock from 1982 to 1984. Their members consisted of Colum Muinzer (now styling himself Colin Gibson) on vocals, guitar (often bowed), and violin; his twin sister, Philomena Muinzer, known as "Phil" or "Mena", (a Princeton University geology major (1978) who won awards for her creative writing, on vocals and keyboard, James Clenaghan on bass guitar and backing vocals, and Mike Edgar on drums and backing vocals. They released a number of singles, but their album was never released after Edgar absconded with the recordings. Their best-known song is "Those Two Dreadful Children", which has appeared on The Dr. Demento Show and was included (transferred from a copy of the vinyl single) on a Basement Tapes members-only compilation.
The name of the band is taken from an altered spelling of villain of the same name from the book and movie The Hundred and One Dalmatians.
Their other songs include "Drunken Uncle John", "Hong Kong Swing", "Blues, Blues, Blues", "Gypsy Girl", "I'll Do The Talking", "Oceans", and "Who's at the Door?". "Drunken Uncle John" and "Oceans" have a similar dark comic flavour to that found in "Those Two Dreadful Children" - the latter being an absurdist satire on drug dealing. "Hong Kong Swing" is a send-up of Ugly American Naval officers' mangling pan-Asia into a cartoonish red-light concept. There are three versions: the first recorded was the "Manic Mix", with breakdancing cues, which was followed by the regular version. The last, "Hollywood Hong Kong Swing" is a new recording that adds three new introductions: a string soundalike to Alfred Newman's 20th Century Fox Fanfare (with Cinemascope extension), a long guitar solo, and a new verse introducing the song as if being featured in a Hollywood revue. "I'll Do the Talking" is a serious song of sibling devotion. "Marching" aka "I can hear the tanks roll", unreleased but now available on video channels, seems to be about the Irish 'troubles', with lyrics also mentioning gunfire. The Muinzers, usually individually, did all the group's songwriting.
In addition to television performances, the group cut a music video for "Gypsy Girl" that UK television was not allowed to show before 10 pm because it depicted a bonfire. A more simple video was made for the song that simply depicts the band performing was used for daytime showings.
Phil and Colum cite their major influences as coming from their father's old record collection, artists like Spike Jones, Danny Kaye, and Pete Seeger. Colin in particular modelled his guitar playing on Brian May of Queen. When EMI signed the band, Queen heard Colum perform "Gypsy Girl" solo, and he reported that May really liked it.
The original demo of "Who's at the Door?" has recently been transferred to digital and cleaned by Colum Muinzer.
A pre-FM copy of a BBC Radio 1 session (possibly broadcast on the Annie Nightingale show in ?1984) has recently been rediscovered, a copy of which has been passed on to Colum and Philomena.

Sorry it's a needle drop and only a camera recording of a basic record player. My lovely hi-fi is in storage and would have given much better sound. Anyway, imagine you are hearing this on a transistor radio back in the day. It's Mr. Big and they have yet to score the big one with Romeo but are full of promise nevertheless as witnessed by these three tracks. Two were B sides and Lucky Man was a...

Sussex - I Love You Dear (1981) Produced by Andy Scott / The Sweet

Sixties influenced band produced by Sweet's guitarist Andy Scott. The singer, Polly Perkins' vocals are reminiscent of a young Mick Jagger on this track. Sadly he died at home in Rotherfield, East Sussex on Saturday 29th November 2008, another victim of cancer. Apart from Sussex he also played with Ongle and Amsterdam based band, the Weazels .

Mindy McCready - Oh Romeo (1998) British TV
มุมมอง 1.4K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Co-written by Matraca Berg and Gary Harrison, a beautiful song performed here by the talented but tragic Mindy McCready on British TV. Mindy's troubled life ended in suicide sadly. RIP (November 30, 1975 - February 17, 2013) There may be other uploads of this on TH-cam but they are poor quality uploads of this, from my original VHS. I know because of processes I added.

With Graham Bonnet on vocals and a rather saucy video to accompany the song. Hey, it's what it's about.

Nice
Am I suppose to feel bad for Brenda even she feels upset/left out over Valerie reminiscing her old times with Eric, though liked her and Eric as an item Obviously Chas is using Dan to get payback on slimeball Cameron
Starting to like scenes of Dan and Chas (first scene referencing Scooby-Doo) as much she was with Cameron or Carl
Wide eyed creep Cameron growing obsession with her 🙄😒 so desperate to propose to Debbie - their relationship is so pathetic on-off Robbie ogling Priya
Liked it when Chas tells Cameron to bog off, he's playing Chas and Debbie off each other what right has he got having a go at Chas accusing her of Debbie distrusting him Marlon and Laurel are good item Brenda 👏🏼 to Victoria dumping Alex
What? No comments? For this insanely great song? Shame on us...
Alex left the bath running and water damage? 💧💧😂 Wish Ashley shave off the ridiculous beard
Temaso
There all three angels when it comes to there voices
Voice of an angel she is
how dare charity the alley cat she is the most manipulative slime ball ever and jimmy off in la la land again he's hopeless
pathetic all miss sour would have to do is tell the hospital cameron wasnt to see sarah and he woldnt even be aloud in a corridor actually the grounds
edna tell charity to get st???? you work for the kings // jimmy not the minority share holder
bit late to be worried about the horses 🤣🤣🤣🤣
shut up charity her being a money alley cat is so boring what are the producers doing with her trying to make her some kind of a power women if so " its not " working
you stole carls money chas and played around with your nieces partner NOW pay up actually he should have had you arrested when you stole it then you wouldnt have the pub
they have always made debbie pathetic but this is OTT
The brilliant Slade what a band
debbie is pathetic DEBBIE IS PATHETIC she struts around as if she is the only one with a sick child i can tell you a hospital that size with a ICU and acute care ward could have 6 to 10 children there as sick or worse SO another unrealistic story from the producers // writers i know they have to make it dramatic but parents who have had to go through this are going this is " pathetic " on so many levels
debbie is pathetic and the pasty skin on robbie looks like a junky
WHY wasnt the sour one there checking her instead of flitting off with her mother the alley cat if Sarah was so bad
is marlons place the tartus and did they kick dr who out this is more grounds for ashley to get the kids if he gets a stable place to live and what if marlon gets custody where ?? will they put a cot for leo etc etc
laurel sounds no older then gabby with that whinny voice

Does it include Sandy being victim of elder abuse months prior and what started it all?
charity the alley cat is so boring with her bitchiness and money grabbing selfishness i hope she gets her come uppence like chas // cruella soon
