a slow December vlog | year-end stress survival, Christmas light stroll, spending time in nature
The holidays can be an incredibly hectic time, and it’s so easy to get swept up in the chaos. My Oura ring even called me out for having high stress leading up to Christmas. Between the whirlwind of traveling, navigating time with extended family members, and the pressure of perfect presents, it often feels like there’s hardly any room left for genuine joy.
Drawing boundaries and protecting our peace is one of the best gifts we can give ourselves. We stayed home for Christmas Day this year and it was lovely to *actually* have a relaxing day off with nothing to do (bc everything is closed, lol).
As we wind down 2024, be sure to make time for you this week!

How to start FASTING as an undisciplined person
มุมมอง 68หลายเดือนก่อน
I am the most undisciplined person I know. Simply put, Fasting jump started my fitness goals. One year ago today, I weighed over 180 lbs, and now I fluctuate in the low 160s. It’s been an incredible journey, and while the weight loss is part of the story, the biggest change has been my mindset. Through fasting, I learned how to *push through* discomfort, build discipline, and reset my relations...
I fasted for 72 hours again and still saw incredible results
มุมมอง 263หลายเดือนก่อน
Four months ago, I attempted my first-ever 3-day fast with zero experience-and it was a game-changer. Now, after months of experimenting with intermittent fasting and learning what works for my body, I feel so much more confident in my extended fast journey. As a new-ish mom (14 months postpartum) and an avid foodie, fasting has been an incredible tool to help me stay on track with my health an...
life in my 30s | romanticizing small city living
มุมมอง 2792 หลายเดือนก่อน
I'm living vicariously through everyone else's travel plans this year but due to budget and time constraints, I'm making the most out of life as a local in Sacramento. I grew up here, but after being away for nearly a decade, the last four years since my return have been a journey of rediscovery of this city. In my 20s, I used to compare Sacramento to LA, SF and NYC. It's not that, and it will ...

Our 2 day trip to San Francisco was such good vibes ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა - so good that I lost my voice! I forget how fun SF can be. As a new-ish mom, this weekend was out of the ordinary for me. @fion_c Yes! Thanks for checking in! After 72 hours, an elbow injury that I've been living with for 8 years seemed to have completely healed. I was so shocked by this that I decided to extend the fast to 96 hours to take full advantage of this stem cell regeneration. After 96 hours I still felt great so I decide to go for a week lol. 151 hours in now. Regarding my elbow, I'm not sure exactly what was wrong with it as I never got it checked out. At first I assumed tennis elbow but I don't think that would last 8 years without healing on its own, and it never seemed to get better or worse. It happened while bench pressing and it effectively ended my workout days. If it actually is healed then this opens a HUGE door for me again. Fasting is a super power!

_Why are people including song(s) talking about being proud to be a stripper in a pink pony club? And then posting a clip of their kids with the song? Isn't this morally wrong. Though the song has nothing to do with the child it's quite literally obvious that using these types of songs is not right especially for babies who can't really concent, let alone these kids get a camera shoved in their face 24/7 7 days a week " do something funny, Do if for the camera Honey!"._ *not being a Debbie-downer* _but.. this is a comment section. Fasting is better as a body clean up strategy than a weight loss strategy. Diet is hard to tackle. My 2 cents is to make changes in baby steps. Incorporate organic veggies immediately in as much you can take. Olive oil and apple cide vinegar are good salad dressings. Slowly work the sugar and processed junk out. And also use good fat: look into good meat, real butter, avocados etc...my 2 cents
