life in my 30s | romanticizing small city living
I'm living vicariously through everyone else's travel plans this year but due to budget and time constraints, I'm making the most out of life as a local in Sacramento. I grew up here, but after being away for nearly a decade, the last four years since my return have been a journey of rediscovery of this city.
In my 20s, I used to compare Sacramento to LA, SF and NYC. It's not that, and it will never be. But this city has a small-town charm (despite its 500k residents) and offers so much diversity - I’m learning to love it, maybe for the first time ♥♥

Our 2 day trip to San Francisco was such good vibes ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა - so good that I lost my voice! I forget how fun SF can be. As a new-ish mom, this weekend was out of the ordinary for me. I'm a chronic overthinker but this time I allowed myself to let loose and just dance. I didn't overthink outfits, set times, or other insignificant details. It felt good to be present. Manifesting more of this ...

hello friends ♥ Hope you are well in your corner of the world! 2024 has been a year of trial & error for me - a lot of different attempts (75 hard, hobbies, motherhood) and slowly I am starting to feel like myself again. We didn't get to travel much with our infant this summer, but we enjoyed doing local things with our friends & family. The gift of time continues to show me that it's truly the...
vlog | Renovating our (not so) starter home
มุมมอง 306หลายเดือนก่อน
hello After a month of battling covid, a teething infant, and a home renovation, I'm back! My body was in such a state of stress that left me with a creative block. I had content filmed, and I couldn't put it together. Life be like that some times. We bought this smaller home (1200 sq ft) thinking it would be our starter home, something we'd turn into an investment sooner than later. This major...

Hello friends Back to my regular scheduled programming soon (fasting! nutrition! health journey!) but taking a quick break to visit our long distance friends in San Diego. I didn't realize how much of me was still holding onto the scarcity mindset when it came to friendships. This weekend was so healing for my soul, and I'm bringing home more than just memories. I'm bringing home a new mindset....

Hello again, friends! I am so thankful for those of you that watched my last video on the 72 hour fast and decided to subscribe. It's an incredible feeling to build a small little community here on TH-cam. The fast taught me how much I am truly capable of, if only I'd just commit to the cause. So here I am committing to live a psychologically rich and diverse life through hobbies, challenges an...

Hi friends! In this off the cuff vlog, I walk you through my 72 hour water only fast. I took a few sips of salty coffee, but, essentially just water for 3 days. I am not a doctor, and this is not medical advice, but my fast opened my eyes to how much food I actually need to be my best self - and it's a lot less than I thought. I'm posting this 2 weeks post and I am still riding this high. Let m...

I felt like a shell of myself during the first days of motherhood but I am starting to see the light ♡ Showing my baby aspects of my world that I love so much has brought joy in ways I never imagined. Whether you're a SAHM or a working mom, the burnout is real and valid. Incorporating my baby into my hobbies has made a world of difference for me. Even if those interests are trying new restauran...

See y'all at the climbing gym!
Absolutely LOVE your space! I’m also trying to be more intentional about what I buy and more mindful of my consumer habits.
Hi Fion! Thank ypu so much for sharing your experience with the 72 hour fast! The most i have fasted so fsar is 38 hours. Im currently almost 24 hours into my fast and hoping to reach 72!! Ive been drinking lots but still have a headahce xx
38 hours is amazing!! and 72 is a great goal. It felt really cleansing and the 5 lbs I lost never came back. I just finished a 4 day bone broth fast (wanted to try something new). Wishing you the best in life and this fasting journey <3
How much weight did you lose in 72 hours?
6 lbs but then gained 1 back during reseed. so 5 lbs loss! and I NEVER GAINED IT BACK! I'm on a 5 day bone broth fast right now, that's my next video!
You look really pretty! ^^
@@LivelyRoses thank you!! 🥹 that is so sweet of you

I’m old enough to see the minimalism trend come back around 😂 and as an ex minimalist, I’m here to tell you there’s a healthy mix and it’s somewhere in the middle ❤ if you budget for something that is more of a want than a need- that’s OKAY!!
In any case, as long as you’re happy and healthy, it’s FINE
@@SeaaAngell 💯it took a LOT of trial and error for me to realize this!
Awh so cute I love the beach!🌊
Tell me your love stories - did you grow together or grow apart?
Amazing to think about. My son returned all the love to me that I had given out and wasn’t reciprocated ❤. He cherishes his mama
this is so lovely to read! He’s all the good karma you deserved all along
Talk to me in 12 yrs😂😂
Fair 😂 I’ll report back
Girl, this isn’t the payback period lol it’s the calm before the storm! *ask me how I know * HOWEVER! People need to stop saying that crap! It’s so annoying! Stop speaking negativity over me and mine!
There's no payback period in the sense on negative karma. If, like myself, you were a 'bad child/teen', its your opportunity to recognise what u needed back then and choosing to give it to your child now. A chance to break the cycle and help your child thrive better than the generations before you.
@@melm90 amén 🙏🏽 well I hope that works. My child gets everything I didn’t and I still am dealing with issues, not MY issues, her dads characteristics…so it didn’t help in my case, but I agree 💯 and prayerful this mom is successful
@@melm90you captured my thought process and summed it beautifully ❤
❤❤❤
_Why are people including song(s) talking about being proud to be a stripper in a pink pony club? And then posting a clip of their kids with the song? Isn't this morally wrong. Though the song has nothing to do with the child it's quite literally obvious that using these types of songs is not right especially for babies who can't really concent, let alone these kids get a camera shoved in their face 24/7 7 days a week " do something funny, Do if for the camera Honey!"._ *not being a Debbie-downer* _but.. this is a comment section. I hope eveyone has a great day. No sarcasm😅❤_
@@ella5682 you’re absolutely entitled to your comments and I love that you wanted to share. Songs have many meanings and can be highly subjective. My takeaway from this song is a girl chasing her dreams and staying true to herself, even if it concerns mama in the process.
@@fion_clooks like u r doing amazing 😊 .. I don't post videos but I also have the camera on my babies all the time. They're going to keep growing and changing, forgive us for wanting to capture things so we can keep these fleeting moments forever. I get when parents film sensitive things or "pranks" its horrible- but beautiful happy memories? There's nothing wrong with that, they're something to feel proud of.
@@melm90agreed! the time is SO fleeting, and I didn’t realize just how quickly it goes until I had her. My uncle used to walk around with a camcorder at family gatherings… the modern version of that is my phone on a tripod. This video was just my phone propped up on a glass of water 😂
Let’s be honest there’s no perfect skin 😂
Your daughter is so cute! May god bless you and her with a long and happy life.
Thank you! <3 and same to you - a long, happy and fulfilled life

My wavy hair! It has a mind of its own!
It’s scary trying new things, but I recently took on tennis again after a 15 (!!) year break. I waited so long for someone take lessons with me, and one day I said “f it”. No more waiting for others!
what part of you are you deciding to love?
my face as well. i was born with it, and it's gonna be a part of me forever so i should love it cause if i don't, life will become miserable and it'll seem like not worth living. so love yourself for who to you are ❤
@@erm.actuallyyy great perspective- We’re out here changing the narrative!
im finally liking my chubby cheeks, smile and thin body
@@v2mpw0lf.mp4 you are perfectly proportionate the way you are 🤍 so glad you’ve decided to embrace it!
My nose because I know some don’t have a normally shaped nose. It’s part of you to be different . That’s what makes you unique. God made each and every one of us different in our own amazing ways. Don’t point out the flaws of yourself. Look on the bright side. You are a caring, loving, and bold person. You are awesome in your own ways. Keep shining !!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤
Really loved this one! Friendships shouldn't be hard and I love seeing people find their tribe. I can go years without seeing some of my favorite people and nothing ever changes. In fact, the times we see each other, the time is even more special and cherished. Also, love seeing San Diego through the eyes of others. Reminds me to get out there more 😍

@@colleenconger5265 I have a slide towards the end of the video but it’s easy to miss! I started at 175, and I got down to 169 right before I ate again. One week post fast I was 169.8. It’s been 2.5 weeks post and I weighed in at 167 this morning. I’ve been doing intermittent fasting (16:8) since I stopped the 72 hour fast. I truly think the 3 day fast helped jump start something in me. I hope that helps!

@@Meisha622 yaaay! I love that we have a little community of Fasters here. You are sooo close and brave for going through a fast over the weekend (my hardest days). Have you seen good results from the dry fast?
Always interesting to see how people that do this feel and go through, both the ups and downs on the way to the goal. Most I ever water fasted was three days. Today is day 2 of another 72 hour fast, and these videos always keep me motivated. Great video!
@@staben22 you’ve got this!!! Only 1 more day. How many 72 hour fasts have you done?
@@fion_c thank you for the confidence boost! This will be my 3rd one. Definitely got the brain fog right now, but I feel calm and not very hungry. I been doing intermittent fasting during the week lately (I eat a dominos pizza on Saturday and restaurant food on Sundays but NO soda). Good job on the fast! IF really helped me last year get over a fitness hump. Nothing I would do would get me to my goals. Then I tried IF and I had more energy and felt great. I did it for almost a year but have fell off so I think this is my sign to get back on it because I have been feeling really low energy levels lately. You got this Fion!
This is so encouraging to hear! Thanks Mikee. IF really works for all shapes, sizes and lifestyles. This is your sign!
