Raised Chain Band Stitch | Beginner Embroidery Stitches
Raised Chain Band Stitch Tutorial
Today we'll explore one of my favorite stitches - the raised chain stitch. I felt in love with this stitch when working on the thistle flower pattern.
The raised chain stitch is a decorative composite border stitch that produces a braid textured result. It's a combination of two basic stitches - chain stitch worked over straight stitch foundation, without piercing the fabric.

Beautiful ❤
This is so cute!
We can print normally and transfer to fabric with circuit
Yes you can print directly onto fabric using the Cricut machine. The problem with this method is it's time consuming. By the time you arrange the fabric onto the Cricut mat + the time it takes the machine to draw the design onto the fabric, you can use this method and stamp 10 patterns. This stamping method is much faster and better if you need to batch transfer.
PLus if the fabric is more textured drawing directly onto the fabric using the Cricut might not give the best result
@@makenstitch thank you
your embroidery =❤ Love ❤and love❤❤❤
Just got into embroidery! Damn using one thread? That would take forever 😂! But the result is beautiful!
I feel like it would be more of a tutorial if you had started from the beginning with words and did it slower. This is more like Amsr. Wonderful work though.
Ata ki kapore korcho divai
How do you get the font? Or where do you get the font??
Beautiful!
Loved this pattern!
Hi ! What paper are you using?
what kind of thread did you use here
I would love to have designs for the ocean wave alphabet. Pls let me know if it is available for purchase.
Thank you so much! I stitched this letter just as an experiment and more to challenge myself and see if it can be done haha. I will design the entire alphabet/monograms and will make it available. I will message you here if you're still interested. Thank you!
💐🤩🇸🇦

Full video please
I will post it soon...promise!
Nice
Thank you!
😍
This was so helpful!! Thank you!
This is Beautiful ! Do you have a pattern and stitch list/guide for this pattern 😊
Hi! I wanted to ask about the inside. Did you leave it like that? Or did you put something inside? (If you already said in the video, I'm sorry, but I don't speak English fluently, so I didn't catch it D":)
What is the name of this thread?
Please reply
Hi Tamanna, sorry for the late reply. Not sure if you meant the brand or type of thread? I used stranded-cotton from DMC (or Anchor). Hope this helps.
Thank you for teaching me this, u came from your satin stitch tutorial and tips, thanks for the tip that it's easier to achieve straighter lines when outlining with this split stitch before, I'll embroider my pants soon. This was helpful, thanks again!
Thank you! Happy to hear it was helpul!
I purchase this pattern and what a wonderful surprise, instructions are awesome and the video makes it so much better, thank you so much for this fantastic bundle i purchased, i cannot wait to start sewing again.. cheers

Simplicidade maravilhoso!!!!!!
Thank you so much!
Hi Gabriela, thanks for sharing this. This is so neat! I am just starting my own embroidery business and have been trying to figure out how to make my own iron-on transfers and have had so much trouble finding any tips. I’m curious if you’ve ever tried making them with an inkjet printer? I’m curious whether a method like that would work too, and if not, why?
Hi, Kirsten! That's great! I haven't tried with an Inkjet printer, but you can test and see if it works. I'm not sure how many times you can re-use a pattern printed with an Inkjet printer, but in the end you can always print as many sheets as you need (just remember to mirror the design before printing). The method in the video is great as it uses Infusible Ink pens which work great for batch stamping more than one pattern in one go with amazing results up to 5 "stampings". These pens are the same as the iron-on transfer pens. If you don't have access to a Cricut machine, try out with the printer. Might work too! Best of luck with your business!
With embroidery, you go thru some serious floss!
Yes, indeed! Depending on the pattern...some can eat up quite a bit of thread.
Thank you this is really helpful
Thank you too, glad it was helpful!
is that the same stitch that you have filled the strawberry leaves ????
Hey there, yes. It's the same stitch, just in the same color. - long and short stitch.
Hello Gabriella. Is there a pattern for this monogram?
Hi @angusmacpherson613, not just yet! It was more of an experiment, but if I get more interest in it I will create the entire alphabet and make it available.
Thank you for this! It saved me!
Hey! Happy to hear! Yes, it is a lifesaver if you need to batch transfer patterns fast.
This is amazing!! thank you!
Thank you! Happy to hear and help! xx

Hi this pattern looks beautiful. I had been to your pattern Library and when you hit the download link it just brings up a picture of the outline, but no download option. Any ideas please ❤
Hi Karen, thank you so much for joining the community. No probs. So if you're on a Mac just press Control on your keyboard and click the image, then choose Save Image As. This will download the image onto your device. If you're on Windows I believe it's right-click with your mouse, then Save Image.
Woww🌸
Thank you!
Brilliant video! Thank you for the tips!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you1
This is such a great tutorial! I just inished my strawberry and it looks amazing. Thank you do much ! 🙂
That is great!!! Would love to see your strawberry!! Thank you so much too for sharing!
Très beau ou acheter le modèle et les fils❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Merci
Merci aussi! My French is very rusty haha. This pattern is not for sale yet, but I will come back and comment here when it will be available. Merci!
I like your style of embroidery. It's different (for me it is), and it gives me new ideas on how to do letters. Thank you for this tutorial.
You are so welcome! Thank you very much for being here! I'll be uploading soon more lettering projects here and also on the blog. xoxo
Beautiful and helpful.... but I don't find where I can download the pattern.
Hey Helene, this pattern is available for free on my blog. You can follow the step by step tutorial and download a free version (just the outlines basicly). You can also find on my Etsy with all details and tutorials included in a PDF.
11:48 starting back to embroidery!😊
Lindo
Gracias! xoxo
Liiiiiiiiinnndo ❤ teu trabalho é maravilhoso ❤❤
Thank you very much! ❤️
How many of the floss did you use for the French knot?
For this one I used all 6 strands. It all depends on the size of the pattern. If you'd be stitching it in a much smaller size, you can reduce it to 4 strands.
