On the last two days of the trip, we rode from Banská Bystrica to Lake Balaton where we cooled off in the afternoon and in the morning, and from Balaton back to Slovenia to end the 7-day Czechia and Slovakia motorcycle trip.

Hi Florian. I did the same thing on my T7, only i put MIVV Dakar. When I went to homologation office i had some problems. The indicators are to close together, they are cca 15 cm, but should be min 18 cm apart (from light part of the indicator to another). Another thing, EURO 4 and 5 norm say you should not have detachable DB killer, so do not remove the rivet holding the DB killer, or if you already did it, just put another rivet with riveting tool. I am still waiting on the results of my test for indicators. Exaust passed after reattaching the mentioned rivet to DB killer. Thanks for the video. Greetings from Croatia
Hey man, thank you for letting me know! Yeah, a guy from Austria told me last year that the indicators too close together might be a problem, but we'll see what they say when the time comes. Fortunately, I didn't remove the DB killer rivet, so at least I'm good on that front. Let me know how it goes. Good luck! ✌️
@@Florian.Martin Hi my friend Just got it done. The exhaust was no problem and you will be fine. The indicators just should be 18 cm apart. I got them sepparated just enough to take the atest photo. I would suggest putting more spacers or some kind of improvised bracket between motorcycle plastic and the indicator. They measure the distance from the translucent part of the indicator (the part that gives light). In my case, the distance needed is exactly the distance in which the exhaust flames hits the indicator. Shame that Mivv didnt take that in account when designining the location of exhaust flames. But, I did it some how, and I am sure you will also. Be safe.
Hello Florian. I have a question I am between 2024 mt 09 and tenere 700 and I can not decide. I like them both but they are very different as you know. I am 180cm and felt tenere a lil intimidating. On the other hand mt 09 has tubeless tires quick shifter cruise control navigation standart. I am very impressed by your mother doing all that road with you guys with a naked bike... What do you think is it doable to tour long distances with 2024 mt 09??? Wind and luggage etc?
Hey man! I think the MT-09 is fine if you won't be riding on rough gravel or forest roads. When it comes to touring with it, I'm not sure, to be honest. My mom is very short, which is why she had to go with the MT-07, and it's still a bit of a struggle for her sometimes (even though it's lowered). I think you can get luggage specific to the MT-09. At least with the wind, you won't have any problems with buffeting like you get on bikes with windscreens. There's this guy, Marc Travels, who's riding an electric naked bike around the world, and I think he's even taller than we are. Maybe you just get used to the position over time. I know that with my T7, I still get knee pain and have to stretch after a few hours of riding. It was definitely intimidating for me at first as a real bike, but you get used to it. Hope that helps!

I have herd so many bad reports about this Border crossing, seems a lot easier on a bike compared to a car I was thinking about hiring a car from Dubrovnik and driving down to Kotor for the night with my Family, though we have to be back at Dubrovnik airport by 10 am. Do you have any recommendations, cheers.
The borders were always very smooth for us with the bikes until now. Many cars have to stop and get searched. The coastal roads and towns in Montenegro are pretty busy, so there’s quite a bit of traffic. If you leave Kotor early enough, you’ll be able to make it on time.

Great video series Florian.We are planning a trip to Croatia and B&H this year and your information on routes etc is very helpful for planning, so thanks for that. Can you tell me please, does your existing MC insurance policy cover you in the Balkans or did you have to buy insurance at the borders?
Thank you for watching, I’m glad it’s helpful! We got the green card from our insurance company (which covers the whole Europe) free of charge for the countries that require you to show it at the border. I think they changed it in some countries now where the card is not required anymore, only recommended to carry with you since they can tell if your bike is insured by looking at its license plate. Nobody asked for it when we crossed the borders. Hope that helps! ✌️

Yes you are correct, motor insurance covers EU travel as per the EU regs, and as I am in Ireland I am OK for Croatia etc. I will check with my broker re additional cover for B&H and possibly Montenegro, if we choose to include it in our trip?
