Their is some devices out their that i think help you know were a lot of fish is so that would make you be able to get fish more when doing this type of fishing in particular i found out about such of Jay Siemens channel on youtube and he does fishing and sometimes he does so with his wife.

awesome river, next time try going to the other side of where you are fishing at the beginning. very successful spot and theres some deep slower water where springs hang out
