Maram Traditional Game Sazai Zai Katu
มุมมอง 3383 ปีที่แล้ว
Sazai Zai Katu is a Maram traditional game usually played between two players (teams). However, it can also be played by more than two players (teams) if required. You don't need anything costly to play the game. Enough to collect 42 pebbles and draw 10 boxes on a chart paper. If playing on the ground, you can dig 10 pockets for the same (in that case, you don't need even the chart paper).

Good job👍👍👍 Title:Kadalung Or Kadalam Aha Bijapo?
Although minor variations are always there, Kadalung seems more appropriate here.
Consensus sake. Kadalung means which village, while kadalam refers to any general place(village, town, area, location...). Earlier writer/s might have used "Kadalam". However, the Marams/Nagas live in the villages. Hence, "KADALUNG" is better...
Appreciated
Commendable job! Good that the earlier typos( in infomaram...) like "adwi koi, akang(friend) etc., have been corrected as adui goi, akam(lover)". I was to point out these errors. Indeed our ancestors were very romantic! This beautiful song evokes a smile to the listeners, if understood exactly. Though they sung in our language, (poetic) words have deep meaning n difficult to fully understand it. Hence, for new generations & Marams from different regions' sake would be nice if someone translate it to English for easy learning n appreciation. Opinion: One beautiful line is omitted in this version: "wa sasang lam gong kii ki meigui meimah ngou makle amage ai di le". May incorporate this line next time if new singers r involved. Second: to me "adui ba mara" meaning not clear, not making sense though they sang it. Someone clarify this.... Except these two issues, found no error now.
Literal translation of ADUI BA MARA could be WATER PATH CLIMB, which could mean that the path to the water pond (from where water is collected) is steep. So, could ADUI GA MARA (WATER LACK MARA) be more appropriate (meaning the singer is telling the MARA (MARAMEI) that there is no water? Inviting all Marams to join in the discussion to clarify and help arrive at a complete understanding of this short-but-meaningful folk song.
Ok. Got idea. The preceding words say "wa.. sasang lam gong kiiki tu ating mage ADUI BA MARA"=Water Path Climb(footpath to the water source/pond is steep better than the second interpretation). Translation: if married to other village/community, (collecting) fire wood is difficult, foot path to the water source/pond is steep". Now, it is making sense...
Priceless…. Thanks for such a good work that will go a long way to preserve our culture and tradition.
Thanks for uploading 👍
